what joke? people like u mashAllah educated and intelligent are there in the country. why should we always expect the rea change from our leaders? Charity starts at home. i think so for changing the situation the pills of education is required and as educated person u can educate 10 people at least. similarly if each and every person plays its role in his capacity, we can expect the change..

True that samia! This is the real sorrow state that we dont really believe n feel changing the things. we are good at making speeches and got titles of being wonderful orators, but we dont believe in implementing things! we have so many things to waste time on, but we dont have any time for muster our courage to change the course of history and that is something which is to be worried about!

Hope and struggle are the two basic things along with patience to accomplish anything! but unfortunately, we dont have any hope nor we are sincere to bring any change.

exactly and it is very sad situation that the nations of the whole world are thinking about to go for modern, innovative and people friendly development indicators(democracy is one of them) but in pakistan people are thinking about to favour martial law( a form of dictatorship), monarchy etc. we have other option as well. why should we not join our hands to change the things rather to go a step behind instead of going a step further?

Must admit you are a very good writer.
But your idea is very indecent.
Criticism for the sake of criticism is not a good thing.
Yes there are many flaws in our whole system, but thats not the real problem. Rather it is a symbol of the sickness of the entire society.
Not just in politics but in Army, courts, Afsare-e-shahi n even in the day to day operations of individual and collective lives, we are a prey to the hereditary favouritism.
If you want to correct the political elite, the whole society must pay heed to its flaws.

Guys, relax. I was just joking that since Pakistan is so much like a monarchy already, we should just declare it to be one

Actually, I'm committed to democracy. Not just democracy, but secular democracy, which, I believe is the only way forward for Pakistan. Also, many of the problems in our democratic system exist because it hasn't really been allowed to mature, always falling victim to either outright martial law or behind the scenes manipulation. Once we have had 2-3 more fair elections, the system would auto-correct itself. Plus, we didn't have this kind of an investigative media ever before and I don't think that the Pakistani masses will be fooled for too long.

Hahaha. . . .Hail to his Highness (Maharaja Asif Ali Zardari From Nawabshah, Sindh). Now just tell how cheap does it sounds?? I am impressed by your thoughts but they really does not suit Pakistan. We are from those who never get satisfied in any condition. . . Such as Bani-Israel. . . We've simply lost our identity and we people just understand one language and that's of Dictator's. Else Monarchy is far away to be implement here in Pakistan , we can't put ourselves into their shoes (Saudi's, Kuwaiti's etc).
