Default Post Afghan war consequences.

Assalam u Alekum Fellows.

Dear Friends,

Nato is going to withdraw its forces from Afghanistan in 2012. What do you think what sort of consequences would it last in the region and what shall be the policy of USA, as we know , it is going to make 4 or 5 new bases in Afghanistan for its permanent presence. On the other hand, India is also boosting her diplomatic presence in the Afghanistan, can it not be dangerous for Balochistan?
give concrete suggestions and causes.

Thanks
Sikandar Bhanger,

First of all, US is not going out of Afghanistan in 2012 but in 31, Dec 2014.

The US government has been training the Afghan youth to hand over them the security responsibilities and have already named them Afghan national security force.

Consequences:

To prevent Afghan from again becoming a safe haven for terrorists that threaten Afghanistan, the region in particular n world in general.

At, Bonn conference, International community decided to support the training, equipping n financing the ASNF.

Civil War could break after 2014 n refugee problem can again disturb Pakistan.

If the international community abandons Afgh n let the religious fanatics take over Kabul once again. Pak would again suffer.

Concerns:

The US is taking help by supporting India in Afghanistan to counterbalance Pakistan and especially growing China.
US wants to establish permanent little bit involvement in Afghanistan to gain its personal interests.

I think, after excretion of US from Afghanistan, Taliban will again get control of Kabul and Afghanistan because after a decade fighting US army and technology didn't beat them so how can ANSF...!

I agreed that there is some hidden forces who are boosting and financing Taliban but these Taliban will not like Taliban of 1995, there will be different group of Talibans and again flow of refuges to Pakistan. This will also very harm full for Pakistan.

While fighting in tribal areas our government should keep this point in their minds that after NATO and USA Afghanistan will be ruled by Taliban and then the cross border movement would be more easy for militants. I think our government should talk with the Afghan Taliban after USA exit to make a better position in our tribal areas.

it will be a good sign for pakistan that afghanistan is going to be independent anyways. refugees' return to afghanistan should be well managed.it is important that they are sent to their homes safely and afghan taliban's movement will be checked to a great extent bcz there will not be much rush of afghanis in pakistan.

Taliban will not rule the whole Afghanistan but at some extent or limited. Another thing as i mentioned earlier that US wants its little involvement in Afghanistan to gain its interests in the region. That is the reason, India is being used against Pakistan on the land of Afghan people. US is using its powers to brainwash the Afghans about the issue of Durand line, which is not recognized as the border by Afghanistan. So Pakistan should take the neutral way. It should improve its relations with other Islamic countries to boost its economy.

Once, the President of Afghanistan said in the address that he was also refugee in Pakistan amid USSR assault on Afghanistan. Refugee problem has always disturbed Pakistan internally. So dear, after the exit of ISAF n NATO, if the taliban takes the position in Afgh, there will be a civil war among Tajiks,Pakhtuns etc. Riots will take place n refugee again will seek shelter in Pakistan. Another thing, If it was easy to manage refugees, Pakistan would not suffer under refugee delimma.

Pakistan will be out of the War on Terror when Exit plan will be implemented so if Pakistan leaves before 2014, it will be entangled in worst situation because TTP Pakistan has already threatened it.

It is not possible for America and NATo to leave Afghanistan in 2012. They will stay in this region for a little longer period. As the relationship between west and Iran is worsening, and their presence in Afghanistan will give strategic advantage to America if it comes in conflict with Iran.
Secondly, it is very clear that once America and Nato will leave this region, Al Qaida and Talibans will become strong and within no time they will be able to capture Afghanistan.
Thirdly, It is not possible for west to leave this region without making deals with Al Qaeda and Talibans. Their end game depends on them. And definitely they will come up with a middle passage creating power equilibrium between the 2 claiming parties of Afghanistan.

US is not going to leave Afghanistan on its own. She will exit after setting up military bases. The eye of US is on Central Asian energy reserves infact the whole Europe and America is interested much in these energy reserves plus Afghanistan`s hidden treasure of mineral and metals. Right now, Afghanistan is the blue eye of America, Russia, China, Europe and India. US is not going to exit before it establishes new silk route for supply of oil and gas direct from Central Asia which is at present through Russia. And that can take long, even after 2014 because Russia and China are not interested to let them exploit their future energy reserves. China is 2nd largest Importer of Energy reserves after America.
