Post Pakistan, China are all weather strategic partners

Pakistan and China have reaffirmed their resolve to continue to cooperate at various international and regional fora to advance interests of peace and security.
This was stated by Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi and Foreign Secretary Jalil Abbas Jilani during a meeting in Beijing.
Both had wide ranging discussion on a variety of important issues that included efforts to bring stability in Afghanistan‚ making South and the East Asia a peaceful and economically growing region free of disputes‚ deepening Sino-Pakistan ties‚ and the reforms at the United Nations Security Council.
Chinese Foreign Minister maintained that Pakistan and China are all weather strategic partners and in view of evolving international environment they need to reinforce their ties.
Foreign Secretary Jalil Abbas Jilani informed the Chinese Minister about Pakistan's efforts to bring about peace and stability in the region.
He reiterated Pakistan's commitment to facilitate political reconciliation in Afghanistan.

Ah another classic example of how we report information in this day and age. It seems to have come straight off the pages of some foreign policy book or journal, and i dont mean the good kind

Anyways thanks for sharing!

What is the basis of " strategic partnership " between Pakistan & China other than their alleged "common animosity towards India".???

there are many other grounds where china and pak are strategically bonded in partnership other than their alleged india.
a- the former ipi -iran pakistan and india pipeline project is seem to change into iran pak china project. it will be great economical and political strategic project among them
b- Baluchistan province has large natural resource potential . it is one of economic strategic point for china to avail it from pak .
c- gwadar port , the main beneficial route for china's import and export to Europe and Arab countries
d- changing international political environment , these both have to be united strategically, politically economically...
e- pak needs china in order to deal internationally crises and wars she requires china's technical assistance ,economic and military help
these are the some strategic points for partnership between these two neighbor countries

The "factor of India" is the main reason behind "all-weather friendship" between Pakistan & China.
The Development of Gwadar Port, Technical & Military assistance etc are the results of friendship not the causes behind it.

AND
1-gwadar port is important for china because it can increase trade with Gulf countries and with other countries. it is the one of the causes behind strategic relation of china with pak. means Gwadar is strategic point which causes china to maintain relationship with pakistan for its trade
2-china is the only country from which pakistan can get military and technical assistance in large scale. pak has to maintain its strategic relations with china in order to acquire military and technical assistance . pakistan should establish good relation with china for this strategy

Alleged : As told officially to the public OR as people are forced to believe. The term is debatable and clearly beyond the requirements of CSS exam. Hence, can be dispensed with.
Common : Common to both Pakistan & China.
Rest is a dictionary matter.
Hence, the root of this so-called All Weather partnership between China & Pakistan.
Other issues are elements/ingredients of this relationship. Take away the basis and picture changes completely.

WAS,
I guess i am only 3 months late

I was commenting on the way that reporting is done. The newspaper could have tried to make some sort of an effort, or a semblance there off, in my opinion of course!

In civil service, three month is really not considered to be late ..

I got it and agree to your point of view with regard to reporting things. Actually i had got in my mind that you are having some opinion relating to sino-Pak friendship so asked for your comments

Regards
