Default Democracy and Development

I have a querry in my mind if 'Democracy' and 'Development' are parallel and inter-ralated with each ohter? I mean there are certain states like Malaysia, Jordan, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates e.t.c. with no democatic culture yet they are among most developed states of the world. Please comment on it...

Regards!

Doesn't matter what system is implemented, without sincere leadership it's not possible to flourish or to develop the country. Even if you carry both democracy and development together, but what if your leadership gets corrupt?? It will definitely not work up to any extent. Malaysia is among most advanced countries of the world and the person who brought her up to this stage is Mahathir bin Muhammad. He held the post for 22 years from 1981 to 2003, making him Malaysia's longest serving Prime Minister. And earlier kuwait used be a part of iraq and after independence their condition was worst than of pakistan. Kuwait was relying on other countries aid , even pakistan used to send them eatables. And moreover it was indian government whou helped them out and that's the only reason indians are having majority over there. . Britain is one of the country which has adopted both monarchy and democracy. And during reign of George iii and William iv britishers were at the top. Even warriors like Napolean weren't able to defeat britains navy.It isn't the system which works, it's the leadership actually. So here i conclude that whatever the system may be without a good leadership one cannot develop. regards
