Default CHANGE ..... Now or Never ?

The commitment shown by Qadri workers under the open sky of cold Islamabad weather has astonished all in Pakistan and abroad. Many big guns of Pakistani politics seems now nowhere in comparison to a religious cum political leader who returned just a few weeks ago from another country. This is first time in the history of Pakistan !

Is it "Now or Never" time for burying the corrupt political system of Pakistan ?

I may disagree with Dr sb's demands but hats off to participants of the sit in! Despite chilling cold, they are resilient and determined! In my view They are morally superior citizens then all of us. It would BE unjust to condemn them as the Mureeds of Dr Tahir Ul Qadri. They are citizens of Pakistan. They are our people who have been suffering injustice and inequality at the hands of corrupt and incompetent politicians.

On the other hand politicians both from government and opposition have united against Qadri March for the first time in the history of Pakistan, which is also an epoch making episode. If Qadri and the participants made history by demanding change, the politicians also made history: not to let it happen.

Tahirul Qadri, Government talks successful

ISLAMABAD: Negotiations between the committee formed by the government and Tahirul Qadri have concluded successfully, Geo News reported Thursday.

Addressing the participants of the sit-in after the conclusion of the negotiations that continued for over 4 hours at D-Chowk here, Dr Tahirul Qadri said a an Islamabad Long March Declaration had been agreed upon and that its contents would be announced after it was signed by the prime minister.

Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira said that an agreement has been reached on all the issues.

According to the latest reports, the negotiating committee has reached Prime Minister's Secretariat for the PM's signature on the declaration.

Earlier a ten-member committee formed by Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf arrived at the D-Chowk to hold negotiations with Tahirul Qadri to end the sit-in.

It is now hoped that the Prime Minister's signature on the terms agreed upon between the government and Tahirul Qadri will finally lead to the end of the sit-in that continued in the capital city for the past four days.

First, the most emphasised point in the declaration is the electoral reforms.

Two names will be given as candidate for Care-taker Prime minister. Who will be upright and unbiased.

Instead of dissolivng the present assemblies, which he had been demanding, it will complete its full term. The assemblies will be disslolved sometime before 16th March.

After that, Election will be held within 90 days. In those 90 days, first 1 month will be dedicated to the scrutinization of candidates. Candidates who present their names for next elections will be thoroughly scrutinized. Who will scrutinized those members? What will be the criteria for allowing a member to contest election? Will a month would be enough to thoroughly scrutinized each and every candidate?

He had demanded the resignation of CEC, now in Declaration he has retained the office.

These are more of the same demands from other Opposition parties too. So what is the point of staging this whole drama.

Nevertheless, we have seen some positives from the long march, which are: a) Discipline, b) Commitment shown by protestors, c) Non-voilent protest, c) women, childern and old age people stayed for a cause in this country is unprecedented.

Well said . . . The movie came to an end . . .
BTW, What did Nawaz and his party get after all this episode. I guess nothing . Again Zardari stood victorious at the end of this drama
