May the departed soul rest in peace. Ameen

Even if this is a suicide act, this reminds me of a movie dialogue: These engineers are very smart sir, they didn't invent a machine which can measure the pressure on the brain. If they had, we would have come to know that this was not a suicide but a Murder.

Default Murderous twist

The mysterious death of NAB assistant director Kamran Faisal has added a new dimension to the Rental Power Projects (RPP) case, involving Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf. Connections between the events are immediately being drawn, though things as yet are far from clear. Faisal, an investigator in the RPP case, and according to some accounts, the author of the main report in it, was found on January 18 hanging from a ceiling fan at his allotted residence in the Federal Lodge in Islamabad. The police, including the Inspector General Islamabad, have stated that the death appeared to be a case of suicide, with the single door to the room locked from the inside. However the family of the officer, including his father, has immediately raised doubts over the suicide story, holding that Faisal, the father of two children, was murdered.

An autopsy has been ordered, and while its initial report has termed Faisal’s death a suicide, the whole matter remains bizarre and rather troubling. It also remains to be seen what action, if any, the Supreme Court — which is now due to take up the RPP case on January 23, after rejecting the NAB report submitted to it as ‘unsatisfactory’ — will take over the matter.

There can be little doubt that Kamran Faisal must have been under a fair degree of pressure, as are many NAB officials. However, he had a fair amount of experience, having joined the force in 2006, and it is not known what kind of turmoil he may have been facing. Right now, there are simply too many variables. All we have is mere conjecture, and this too is not healthy. Given the nature of the case and the delicacy of the RPP issue, it is important we get to the bottom of the matter. Otherwise speculation will continue, adding not only to the complications in this case but to the troubled political scenario as a whole, at a time when too many doubts waft through the air keeping us all bound in an unsettling net of uncertainty.

News items from Dawn which suggest that it was not a suicide...

1.Some of Faisal’s relatives have alleged that his body bore marks of torture. His uncle has said that Faisal’s back, arms and wrists showed torture marks.

2.Police is also reportedly looking for Sajid Ali, a close associate of Faisal, but has so far failed in getting in touch with him.

3.According to police, Mr Faisal used a table and a chair to climb up to the noose, but it was observed that his feet were hardly touching the chair while hanging.

4.Secretariat Police Station SHO Qasir Abbas said police had been informed about the incident by NAB`s SubInspector Mumtaz Ahmed.
But the NAB official said the information had been given by police who were already on the crime scene when NAB officials reached there.

5.The victim`s father Chaudhry Abdul Hameed, a retired bureaucrat, told Dawn that his son was neither under any stress nor had he received threats from anyone.
"He talked to me last night at 9.20pm and was behaving normally. He couldn`t have committed suicide",Hameed said.

6.Sources close to the medical board which conducted the autopsy said bruises had been found on the body and they had occurred before the death.

7.The tongue of the deceased was found protruding from the mouth a sign of strangulation. However, his neck bone was found intact.

A medico-legal expert told Dawn that normally in hanging cases, the greater cornu portion of the hyoid bone was broken, but there was a possibility that it might remain intact if the victim was light or got a jerk of a very low density.

However, Kamran Faisal was bulky and his bone would have broken if he had hanged himself, the MLO suggested.

So,how many here believe it was not a suicide..?Why the silence on such a cruel incident..?
Where are those people now who were crying against TUQ's march and termed him a joker....?Perhaps they are waiting for govt employees working under Rehman Malik,Raja Rental to disclose it as a murder...?Where are those judges to whom he requested that he is under pressure and be relieved from this investigation?..Where are those who burn candles for Malala but do not care about Kamran Faisal or soldiers dying at border or fighting Indians or terrorists...?

In fact our people are jokers and our country is a joke..

As always people will be showered with money, killed or sent abroad or threatened ,and there will be no proof left.

Default Authorities are misguiding

After the mysterious death of investigation officer of NAB now government is ordering to ascertain decade’s cause of death.
Isn’t prime responsibility of our government to allot protocol to investigation comity while they are investigating against high power authorities?
While Late Kamran Faisal was protecting treasure of Pakistan’s people by investigating case.
I don’t think that we’ll be able to get another Kamran Faisal as in interview many colleagues of decade said they want protection during investigation.
Even our MNA and MPAs are geting 24 hours protection then why not the person who is investigating such a high profile case.
in Kawish (21-01-13) it was clear that 03 Offiicers of NAB were found to jump in Kamran Faisal's room from window.

Mysterious, moving text messages of Kamran Faisal surface:

The grief-stricken officers of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Monday went on a countrywide pen-down strike and locked their offices in protest against the killing of their colleague Kamran Faisal, as text messages by the RPPs scam case investigator have revealed that he was under pressure and concerned about his security.

“DG HR WANT AFFIDAVIT IN BACK DATE REGARDING CHANGE FROM CASE; KIA KAROON,” was among the text messages (reproduced without changes) that deceased Kamran Faisal exchanged with one of his close friends in NAB, three days before his mysterious death.

The friend responded to him not to do so, strictly advising him to switch off the mobile phone. “Lock ur room door from inside before sleeping”, he messaged Kamran.

His last message was from a friend, received at 7:58:41am on January 18, in which he wished him good luck, praying that Allah freed him ‘from all worries on this blessed day (Friday)’. By the time it was sent, Kamran had left this world of worries and his body was hanging inside his room.

As the mystery deepens about the alleged suicide of the NAB’s Assistant Director Kamran Faisal, his exchanges few days before death provide some missing links belying the NAB claims that he was removed from the case on Jan 7 before he committed ‘suicide’ and there was no pressure on him.

The text messages also give a tour inside the situation he was passing through, intensely under pressure from the bosses and deeply concerned about his personal safety.

After his death, Kamran’s friend and key witness to his situation is also under grave risk amid concerns and demands of the well-wishers for beefing up his security. There is also an exchange of messages between the two friends containing verses showing their profound love for Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

As the case is in the spotlight since his mysterious death occurred at the height of NAB’s tension with the Supreme Court, it is being said that the court may order the record of his phone calls and text messages either from cellular companies or from the agencies that have been authorized to conduct surveillance after the passage of a law of fair trial from parliament.

As for the messages about the anxiety following pressure from the NAB bosses, they started on January 15.A friend and colleague inquired from Kamran about his location at 9:46pm on January 15. He responded: “WITH DG HQ.” He continued: “DG HR WANT AFFIDAVIT IN BACK DATE REGARDING CHANGE FROM CASE.” In the same message, Kamran sought the friend’s opinion: “KIA KARUN (what should I do?).”

As there is no response from friend, he said: “CALL ME.” In the same message, he sent a verse about Prophet Muhammad (PBUH): “kitab-e-hasti k her warq pe, jo nam-e-Muhammad raqm na hota…Wajud-e-hasti ubhar na sakti, wajud-eloh-o-qalam na hota…Zameen na hoti, falak na hota, Arab na hota Ajam na hota.” His friend continued those verses: “Ye mehfal-e-kon-o-makaan na hoti, ager wo SHAH-E-UMAM na hotay.”

Then the friend asked him if he was in office, he replied he had left the office and reached the hostel.

The next day on January 16, the same friend, concerned about Kamran, asked him about his location at 9:42:26pm. Then he added: “We r all worried abt u. kia ho raha ha aur wapsi kab ha (what are you doing and when expected to return?).”

Texting with reference to pressure on Kamran for submitting an affidavit from the back date, the friend advised him: “kabi mat dena apnay hath khud na katwana (Never give in to the affidavit demand. Don’t cut off your own hands yourself.”

There was no response from Kamran and the friend continued texting him the messages: “Progress???.” Then requests Kamran to visit him: “Aa jao na????.” Again that friend advised him not to give the affidavit: “Afidavit kabi mat dena apnay hath na katwana.” He continued at 10:41:11pm on January 16: “Good aur kal seedha SC jana Allah bless u (Go straight to SC tomorrow, God Bless you.”

The friend then sent a word of caution at 11:14:26pm on January 16: “Switch off ur mobile and lock ur room door from inside.” Agencies add: Wearing black bands onto their arms, the protesting officers of the bureau rejected the judicial commission headed by Justice (R) Javed Iqbal and demanded that the commission be headed by a serving judge of Islamabad High Court (IHC) or ex-director general FIA Tariq Khosa or Justice (R) Khalilur Rehman Ramday.

According to reports, the protest demonstrations we held at the NAB officers in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta and other major cities. The protesting employees said that according to family Kamran Faisal had been murdered but the government was staging the drama of his suicide to mislead the public.

His death is a cold-blooded murder .
His parents knew it, his friends knew this fact and most of Paksitanis knew it too .

His father rightly asked yesterday "Is honesty is a crime in this country ? " in a TV Program.

May Allah grant him the status of shaheed and give patience to his family .

Default MR Kamran Faisal

AOA, For the last few weeks I have been thinking about the present situation of Pakistan and it saddens me to see these illiterate people enjoying the limelight while those who deserve it are being discouraged. The influence of politicians in the work of bureaucrats has always passed the norms of society and has led many officers to give up there honest path as they are not able to make a difference because of these external pressures.
After the death of Mr.Kamran Faisal, I strongly feel that steps should be taken to change such political influences. I feel these influences have led to a bad public image for our bureaucrats and has led many people to take bribery instead of issuing any legal notices as they are aware the accused will be freed by external influences regardless of there actions so they might as well capitalize on the opportunity to gain a little extra cash. In Pakistan a positive public image of sectors such as the police can help tremendously to stop crime as we rely heavily on eye witnesses to prosecute criminals but with such a negative image not many people are willing to trust the government departments.
I hope that Mr.Kamran Faisal's family obtains justice as that is the least this country owes him for his efforts. It is sad that someone who will stay in government for 5 or maybe 10 if he is lucky can ruin the life of so many people who have spent their life serving this country and its people with the utmost honesty.
I would like you to read this link (http://www.awaztoday.com/News_Myster...ical-News.aspx) on Mr.Kamran's death.

What steps do you think the government could take to move away from a society in which politicians use there powers unfairly ?

Rightly said.......i would also like to add something here that is related to security.i think its all because of lack of security..if state can not ensure the security of its honest officials then how could we expect that they will act honestly...Had we provided security to kamran faisal,it would not have been possible to face his murder.Yes!! evidence system is also faulty...under present system police is compelled to arrest any person on the basis of suspicion.Unless we improve the system we cant blame police.they are working well at least better than our other law enforcement agencies.Higher officials have to sideline with any party because they know that without doing that they will not be able to get key posts even though how much competent they are.We are enjoying the fruits of choosing incompetent and corrupt leaders who provide enough material to us every year that we can easily attempt css papers.
