IMF's delegation has declined either to waive off or reschedule Pakistans's debt..This is the time when our leadership should give a thoughtful consideration to the fact that we are in a dire need of economical reforms in the country.

IMF and Pakistan will resolve this issue soon. Pakistan has not yet asked IMF for new programme. As soon as Pakistan does this IMF will start rethinking.

IMF does not trust this government anymore. It simply does not want to provide Pak with another plan, with previous plan repayments still not paid. Elections are ahead, and there is no guarantee who holds the reigns. So, it will be a safe bet to wait till elections are carried, new government in place and a charting out a plan with a parliament having fresh mandate will be secure.

i think it is good. every new debt is putting chain to ecnomic growth. as some of econmic experts also said that foriegn aid is not more than 5 to 6 % of budget and that is for the (elite class)set programs design by donars. why dont we creat our own resources to come out of this debt (shamful) game?
i think as an independent nation, now after 65 years we should realize our independence and abolish bagging concept. stop depending on others. as "beggers can never be choosers"......:'(

I Agree with you Silent Roar. When there is a problem, there you can also find a solution to solve it in a better way. This time our country is in Financial crises and The World Bank and IMF have been trying to recover the flow of loans for many years but our Government hasn't been able to get rid of international monitory pressure.
Why are the other nations growing rapidly? We should never get erased this question. Actually they are tax payer nation and know the meanings of patriotism. But how much patriotic we are? Do we pay tax on time? Do we show all the assets to pay the tax in a civilized way?
I know Our governmental structure has also been responsible for this problem. We should also ask ourselves, "Have we been faithful to our country"?. If not, This is the right time to be the one. Each of Pakistanis from the level of a peon to the level of President should declare assets and go paying tax.

In Elections, we can also select those representatives who're capable enough to steer our country out of this burgeoning situation. Until we're awoken, no new schedule, policy, strategy can work because solutions come when we'll awake
