Default Educated Illiterates

Educated Illiterates

Have you ever paid attention to what is written in any degree? It testifies that the person to whom that degree belongs to has got that much marks an has done that and that degree. So the degree is mere a proof that a person has a certain education but it never says that this person has also become sagacious. Being educated and sagacious has that much difference as has being a literate and an Illiterate. As it is not compulsory that an educated person will be prudent, similarly it is not essential for an illiterate to be educated in order to have prudence, one can be wise without being educated and an educated person can be an idiot.

Those who get few degrees always talk arrogantly to those who are uneducated and look down upon them. They also think that all wisdom ends on them and this is only their prerogative and they have euphoria that good decisions can only be made by them and what they know, others don't.

Such class has recently popped up in our country, who thought that casting vote is nonsense, and they think that democracy is a way to make the masses fool and as they are educated so they cannot become the part of such a system. They considered it their disgrace that a person who is not as much educated as they are (but not necessarily be a unwise) to represent them in Parliament. They considered Chaudhary ALLAH Wisaya, who drinks lassi, a villager a bloody rogue who does not no a word about government, we know what is good governance and what is Political Economy. This class was such that illiterate masses did not pay any attention so they could not become a part of Assembly so they just taunting these masses sitting in their drawing rooms. All they could do is establish a think tank in order to wait for the Tank men for a coup de'tat.....

They hated the general public considering them a down trodden creation. This class spent their evenings in five star hotels and clubs, they would wash their hands with sanitizer if just in case they have handshakes with their driver or cook, so how could they hug the barber and cobbler for campaign? They could only support a military dictator who could take them to Parliament without having them takes the usual road that is meant for democratic representatives.

This foreign qualified class supported such dictatorships with zest and seal and still adulate it on Facebook. Such a dictator haves these foreign qualified "superiors" in the form of Shaukat Aziz and such other persons in his cabinet. Wearing Armani suits and RayBan sunglasses, this class feels gleeful that they reached the power echelons without having crossed the corridors that lead through the stinky streets of common people. They consider it unlawful for common people to have the right of enfranchise, and if these common people must have the voting right at all, it must be lower than their own vote, means their vote carry more weight.

in all this game there was a hindrance, this class could never get the support of public at large, finally this issue was also resolved. They eventually got such a leader who was foreign educated like them, could speak awesome English and take the English men on charge wearing black suit and a red tie, had charismatic personality and not only in Public but was equally famous in Aristocracy as well. This Aristocratic class saw in him a ray of hope to take them in the power echelons again, and when he got substantial public support, this class just went mad. whoever goes against them, they labeled that person as an illiterate and corrupt, they voted standing in long ques like every Tom, Dick and Harry with utmost fervor in the hope that when the ballot boxes will open, their vote would be saying that as i belong to an educated person so i carry more weight that that of a common man. BUT fortunately nothing such happened and the collaborative wisdom of the whole nation gave its historical verdict, this class started crying like a mad kid throwing his bat on the ground and shouting "Rigging Rigging". Now these people started abusing and calling the Punjabi people corrupt, illiterate and mad. The KPK has given some support to their leader so they called them the real educated people, although they call these Pathans the most idiot creature of the world. They also forget that the Pathans were the only people who voted in the favor of congress and Muslim League lost there and it was the Muslim League of Quaid e Azam. All Punjabis, Pathans and other are equally wise.

This class hasn't seen that bad defeat, people have been lured by their empty rhetoric, but they are feeling so much arrogance that nothing less than clean sweep was their dream. Most of the people who belonged to this class have applied for Canadian immigration and will leave that country soon saying " That country has gone to dogs" and the remaining one will keep their struggle alive on Facebook.

Well, the first aspect of this piece of writing , 'its not necessary that an educated/qualified person is equally sagacious' and second aspect ,' most of highly qualified /foreign qualified look down upon poor/uneducated people' is agreeable. However, the remaining part that only such a class has voted for PTI/Imran /call for change and Pathans were the only people who voted in the favor of PTI/Imran /call for change and that people of KPK did not favour creation of Pakistan is having certain aspects.

First thing, not only educated class, but also uneducated class voted for PTI on the name of change. They were hardly pressed by the previous political clout and considered PML-N as a change of face only. As a result they tried to vote for bringing change in the country. It may be kept in mind that people did not vote for PTI being a good party, they voted for bringing change in the country, they thought to give a chance to another party.... And there is nothing bad in voting for new face...

Secondly, people of Punjab also voted for the call of change, we see seats (both national assembly and provincial assembly seats) won by PTI at Lahore, Multan, Rawalpindi, Mainwali, Attock, Islamabad etc etc... And in many areas where PTI candidate lost, they lost with margin of 15-30000 votes. This margin is not very big margin when votes are casted in the tune of one hundred thousand. ... As regards point of view of KPK that they are educated and they voted for change, then it is historically evident that they always try to bring some new face, in 1990s, they voted for PPP and PML N, in 2002, they voted for MMA and it was only province where MMA formed government. Next time in 2008, they voted for ANP and now they voted for PTI, in case PTI does not deliver well in KPK.. So they are always voting for change and it seems next time it will be very hard ground for PTI to secure seats in KPK in case they do not perform well.

Thirdly, it was not the people of KPK (Pathans) who were against creation of Pakistan, but a single party/faction of Congress... And current ANP is having roots of that faction of Congress, which also raised slogan of Pashtunistan in later years... But bravo to ANP, that in this election and during their tenure in office of KPK government, they lost maximum of their leaders and they open heartedly accepted their defeat... I think ANP should be called a party of shaheeds instead of PPP...

As regards this elite class/burger family syndrome, I think current always remain in our people (mainly in our young generation) and mostly this current is used against others and political parties often use this current for their own benefits... But it is always good, if this current is used for constructive purposes instead of any hatred or idiotic futile discussions on party basis. Pakistan zindabad.

Regards
