why dialogues failed
While media and political parties are busy in dividing the nation on mission zarb e azb. lets dwell into the factors which failed dialogue in Pakistan
If we look around, Philippines largest Muslim rebel group, the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, has recently signed a peace treaty with the government, before that the tamils signed a treaty with srilankan govt what is failiing us. why we keep on swinging in both directions, all in vain. no taliban pacification intended, just focus on reasons of dialogue's failure |

The TTP wasn't interested in peace. It simply doesn't go with their grand plan of conquering the entire region ISIS style.
Peace talks were only a way by the Taliban to thwart military operation for some time and a way for the state to convince the pro-Taliban groups like the PTI that they'll lead to a dead-end.

1) Both Parties were not serious from the beginning of dialogues. For this there are many reasons. like International Pressure,Army Pressure etc
2) Ultimate Goal of both parties was not "Peace".... it was to Rule the masses with their own style.... I am not worried about war.... In nations' life war is not a big thing... how will they handle it after war that is the main issue. We are not good at that. We operated Baluchistan in 48,58,63,73,04 and still we achieved nothing but shame. Lets see.... how will this thing go.

dialogue failed between government and TTP because government did not include any local from North Waziristan in the dialogue. Also the goals of dialogue was not clear from both sides they were only explaining their demands not more than that.

Dialogues failed only because of Talibans as TTP is not a political party but a group of insurgents. It was clear from the day one that these so called Muslim Talibans are working on some foreign agenda and later on their actions also proved that.

Despite that, they were offering dialog themselves. It is pretty much a sign they know how to handle the government of Pakistan . They also know their ideology is deep entrenched in the society and a government that is formed with right wing vote will be very lenient to them and others can be labeled kaafir. And the state who is fighting them today supported it, rather winded it once . So the situation that arise here is very different, maybe the militants have supporters in the army and isi as well. In that case even this current much popularized operation will be conducted very carefully.

but sir dont you think appeasing attitude of some opposition parties towards militants, establishment insecurities taking form of civil military clash, plus desperation of media has a thing to do in failure of recent dalogues.

Yes, but I was focusing upon why there is so much disarray and confusion here despite the fact that militants have been killing everyone for years but still there are people who are defending them. Virtually most of the symbols of state power have been attacked, like GHQ, airports, naval base, SSG base, jails etc; the militants operate against the state from its own soil, they openly call it an unislamic state whose very constitution is based on kufr; but still many people don't want them to be called enemies of the state. In my mind the reason is simple, its because they are the state's own people, their 'strategic assets', who were raised and used by them and perhaps state still hopes it will use them again once situation allows, present problems are only because some elements among them have gone rogue and once they deal with them their 'strategic assets' will be pure again .
