There is only one goal divided into halves. Firstly to hault and eradicate the spreading menace of terrorism that flourished on our lands nourished by external aid, and secondly, to convert this land into a peaceful territory.. Army firmly believes that they will achieve their goal successfully, but in actual, the case is little more complex,as we all know that this growing threat of extremism cannot be eradicated completely.

As with respect to Waziristan so i think Pak army will achieve their targets successfully but terrorism is spread in all Pakistan and it will need a comprehensive strategy and a commitment of the political and army leadership to set together and eliminate this from all Pakistan. Secondly operation is not the only solution to this problem government should search for the main causes of terrorism and how to deal with it and how to settle this issue permanently because operation is not a permanent solution. Government,Army and civil society all should work for it to eliminate poverty, unemployment, corruption, and many such issues which contribute to the act of terrorism.

Inshallah this operation (Zarb e Azab) will achieve their goal because our army is fully skilled to deal with that type of germs, but if this operation is fully devoted for the eradication of this germ form the roots of Pakistan and free of all political stakes. I also agree with senior member that it cannot be eradicated completely, but once you create scared in heart of these elements it ll be minimized.

Default SWA Military Operation

this operation can not achieve their goals because the gorilla war can not completely remove from the operation the example of balochistan in balochistan in 1948, 1958, 1963, 1973 and finally in 2004 five army operation but in all the operation the military can not achieve their goal, the SWA Military Operation is the same.

Army can not defeat extremism without govt and political parties support as there are so many religious group fully supporting them and provide them every possible facilities and resources in hidden, We eradicated taliban in 2009 full scale military operations for some time situation was good but with thw passage of time taliban again regaining presence in swat and bajurh agency that is why only army is going to be blamed for wasting resources and displacing locals which is to be seen once ongoing operation completes.

We are at war like situation for decades and that is because of misleading political decisions which had sow seeds of enmity, prejudice and retaliation

True democracy in practice largely play role in bringing peace and stability every one must have access to the rights and perks as enshrined in the constitution whether political party, pressure group and an individual.

secondly, govt must revolutionize institutions to reduce malpractices and set up independent board to work as observer and punish physically and financially whoever manipulate rights of deserved individual and recruit qualified individuals and this can increase patriotism and reduce anti state feelings,

Appreciation for local talent and backing to boost creativity, jobs, business opportunity, access to foreign markets, transparent tax net collection and providing facilities to tax payers, most vigilant intelligence system to check over extremism, providing jobs to tribal graduates, these are many steps govt must take to get rid of extremism

as far as my knowledge is concerned so its very difficult for the government to conclude the operation with in a limited span of time. whenever operation or war gets longer so people become fed up resultantly. on other hand now the number of IDP's is touching the figure of 8 lakh or 0.8 million which is enough to mount a pressure on civil military leadership. apart from this, still the media has been kept sideline in NW owing to this the authenticity of killings yet needs to be proved. moreover, those who have left for Afghanistan during the operation don't have any contact with the pakistan government and it is possible that majority of them belong to militant groups. lastly, the assitance of IDP's is not up to the mark which could regenerate anti state sentiments among the people of the NW.
