Default Obama authorizes air strikes on IS

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-28699832

What do you guys say about this?

Personally, I'm amazed by the silence of Pakistanis regarding IS. Thousands of Muslims have been killed in the violence in Iraq, but it seems like we Pakistanis care about Muslim children only when the attacker is Jew...

Regarding these future air strikes, the US isn't doing this out of the goodness of its heart, but to protect its own national interests; they can't allow IS to become two powerful.

Pakistan should provide a contingent of commandos. With American equipment and Pakistani commandos IS militants will go to heaven very quickly haha

First Strike, US aircraft targeted artillery positions firing on Kurdish forces in the city of Irbil.

First of all i would like to know that are you on a side with IS?? Who slaughtered shia's in iraq, and now attacking the yazids and Christians of iraq as well. US is a self centered and egotistical nation which reacts to IS only when Christians community is in dismay, Where were they when IS was killing shias, and where were muslims when IS was killing Shias, when muslims were killing muslims, Now when christians are killing muslims, it is our time to raise the voice?? aren't we the same self centered and egotistical as well??? It is very easy to finger point all the liabilities to someone, instead taking the accountability our self. Now im not taking any sides but fact is fact.

I am baffling to understand why democracy ultimately give rise to far right politics in Muslim nations while in Western Europe and some other parts of the world it gives rise to modernism and progress. Are Muslims resisting modernism or they don't like the competition that comes with capitalism or what??? Whenever I try to learn about it in this forum what I find is either a democracy preacher or a radical conservative defending amd promoting their beloved sects and beliefs. I think as long as extreme conservatism remains in Muslim thought we will continue to witness rise of such militancies and their brutal tactics. Perhaps the last battle between old and modern world is yet to take place , or perhaps after continued and long-term violence Muslims will eventually loose their manhood and accept the reality of modern world .
