Keeping in view the current dismal situation filled up with chaos and panic all around,some questions are yet to be answered.While,floods developed a continuous threat and thus exploited the inadequacies and culpable negligence on the part of our mismanagement.
During last many decades, we failed to rebuilt the old structures as well as failed to develop mutual consensus on new reservoirs.
Along this I would like to attend your attention towards the incompetency of our disaster management.As Disaster management Authority hasn't met under the supervision of Prime Minister since Feb,2012.
$1 Billion,ten year future plan,to cope in such situations still lies unapproved.
Despite the legislation,district Disaster Management Authorities (DDMA's) are still non operative.
At the present, by viewing all this, the dire need of the hour is to address these issues and making a sound strategy on short term as well as long term planing.
As contrary to developed countries in such natural disasters and calamities , we always remain the 'affected ones' and they as 'survivors'.
We, the affected ones, with 'weep and wail' and they (developed countries), the survivors 'with smile and wave'
