Arrow Israeli Author Predicts Third World War

Dave Eberhart, NewsMax.com

While Muslim moderate Shaykh Kabbani warns of the infiltration into the U.S. of breakaway Muslim extremists, Israeli author and lecturer Avi Lipkin casts aside all pretense of political correctness with his claim that Christians and Jews are faced off with Muslim "revolutionaries” in "a struggle for the direction of planet Earth.”
"War is inevitable in the Middle East. War is inevitable in the United States,” the no-holds-barred former Israeli army officer predicts in a nine-hour video seminar.

Unlike Kabbani, founder of Islamic Supreme Council of America, who posits that Islam is a religion of love marred by a few interloping extremists, Lipkin preaches what he describes as the simple bottom line of Islam: "Kill the Jews on Saturday. Kill the Christians on Sunday.”

In his typical stump lecture, the self-effacing Lipkin says he is aware that many see him as the Mel Gibson character in "Conspiracy Theory.” "I’ve been predicting war for 27 years,” he says with a grin.

Repeating themes that have appeared in his books, Lipkin says Islam is in an intramural battle between those who ascribe to the "evolutionary” model and those who adhere to the "revolutionary” model of eventual world domination by Muslims. "It’s just a disagreement in the tactic, not the aim,” he says.

The warriors of Islam are fighting all over the world – in the Philippines, Indonesia, and Africa – Lipkin insists. However, he claims that we as a nation characteristically turn away from the clues.

He is also persuaded that in 1996 terrorists brought down TWA Flight 800 with a missile.

Cynical About Prospects of Middle East Peace

His frank take on the Israel-Palestine peace impasse: "The American military industrial complex delivers trillions of dollars worth of weapons to the Middle East, and after the fact, we admonish, ‘OK, boys, don’t play with your toys.’”

Lipkin likes to highlight the December 1997 warning by Defense Secretary William Cohen that Saddam Hussein had enough biological and chemical weapons to wipe out the entire human race. Cohen added that 28 major U.S. cities were targeted for "nationalist and religious” terrorist attack in which weapons of mass destruction would be used, Lipkin notes.

"Not a direct word about Islamic extremists,” Lipkin laments. Also in 1997, he notes, then-President Bill Clinton extended a 1994 executive order declaring a state of emergency occasioned by the high probability of terrorism in America. "The mainline media never reported this seemingly important news story,” says Lipkin.

Lipkin believes that the former administration’s "stand-down” approach to maintaining the U.S. nuclear arsenal in service-ready condition helped compromise the nation’s ability to keep biochemical terrorist countries in check.

"The United States’ nuclear capacity was probably the key factor, which prevented Saddam from using biochemical weapons on Gulf War troops. He understood clearly that Baghdad would be nuked if he did,” Lipkin opines.

In one of his books, "Is Fanatic Islam a Global Threat," Lipkin says terrorist tactics include the counterfeiting of the U.S. dollar in the Middle East. This counterfeiting, like the attacks on the World Trade Center, is yet another effort to damage the U.S. economy, he says.

Lipkin believes the Islamic world recognizes that it must eliminate the U.S. and the West from influencing the Middle East if it is to achieve its goal of the annihilation of Israel.

"Peace in the Middle East has never been a goal of the majority of the Islamic world,” Lipkin says. "The only way it can accomplish this is through demoralization of the U.S. populace, which in turn would force the U.S. into isolationism and keep it from intervention in the Middle East.”

Give Lipkin long enough on any occasion and he will switch to his favorite theme. "The world is on the verge of a world war.” Meanwhile, the American media feed the public a diet of placebos, Lipkin complained in a radio address a month before the Sept. 11 attacks.

Americans were being served a "news” menu of Rep. Gary Condit, Monica Lewinsky and O.J. Simpson, he noted dejectedly in August. After the war on terrorism gets old, a new diet of media trivia will no doubt be gobbled up.
