Dear tanveer; I can only tell you the basic job description which I personally experienced and observed, so basically it includes pre-audit procedures at each district accounts office or treasuries in the pronvince. DAO is authorised to preaudit, check, maintain and record the day to day transactions, receipts , payments etc. When a DDO submits a bill e.g Electricity bill for xyz month in DAO office now it's jr.auditor who checks whether the bill submitted is filled correctly, checks the sanction and authorization of principal accounting officer are supported, checks the budget and release position of the specific head of account is available and sufficient then maintaining proper accounts in the DDO/DEPARTMENT's ledger and register and then moving the bill to accounts officer to pass the bill and finaly moving to computer section for preparing the final cheque of the amount etc.

to kiya ye same point nhi ka audit ka matlba review karna chek karna k is there any mistake(review of voucher, final statement like electric bill?

and DAO mean district account officer?

Yes it includes but pre-audit procedures. AGPR and AG offices are authorised for recording, maintaining and reporting financial statements and appropriation of accounts to CGA controller general of accounts of federal and provincial respectivetly.

Post goverment audit vice versa is conducted by department of auditor General of Pakistan.

Drawing & disbursing officer (ddo)
District Accounts office or officer (dao)
Principal accounting officer (pao)

It's your perception kindly first read finanical laws and rules of the govt and see the basic accounting terms thoroughly otherwise if someone asks on this forum in STP of police that what is PSP so obviously it comes as POLICE SERVICE OF PAKISTAN someone would also say it would be Pak Sarzameen Party likewise
