My experience at the Interview.

There were 3 people.
First person in the middle:
1) Personal Question (Meaning of the Name, Qualification)
2) There are 4 Accounting Conventions, and about 10 Basic Accounting Concepts, enumerate Some

Second Person:

1)Example of Indirect Labour (Salary of Watchman)
2)Exaple of Indirect Expense (Depreciation)
3)Efficiency Ratios (I told Profitability Ratios and I realized the mistake after the interview)انا لللہ و انا الیہ راجعون
4)Cost V.S Financial Accounting
5)Qualified V.S Disclaimer of Openion
6)IRR v.S. ARR
7)Types of Variance Analysis (didn't get the question, anyway said "Material, Labor overhead variances)
8)What is Window Dressing and How it is done
9)Where are reports of Private and AGPR Auditors discussed (General Meeting of company and Public Accounts Committee i guess)
10)Longitude and latitude analysis ( I courteously denied, the only question I did no t answer)
11)Substantive Test (Test of details and Analytical Procedures)
12)If Audit Risk is high sample size will be (increased)
13)Prime Cost V.S. Conversion Cost


(Questions are not in sequence, and I may have missed one or two others, but It was like barrage (bombardment) of Questions, he kept asking and I kept answering
Alhamdulillah) Not 100% answers were correct, but answers were confident, efficient, to the point and quick.

Then the second person nodded to the third to ask Questions and he refused. I don't know why and what that means.

Hoping and praying for good, and InshaAllah will get and enjoy the said post.

Are you sure that result of final selection is coming this month?

Nobody can say anything sure about fpsc but there are high chances for the result this month if there is no departmental issue.

Any update about final list ??

Made a call to FPSC today. The representative on the other side was saying that delay is due to hearing cases and reference cases.

I could not understand his statement as it was totally illogical as per my understanding. The hearing cases were scheduled and were given hearing date on the same date the interviews were conducted. \

Kindly throw a light on it and let me know what is going on..?

It is strange. The time for applications for hearing is 30 days after the Pre-selection list. is it not?
