Anyways, Synopsis of taxes is good book by Mirza Munawar Hussian. Study definitions, Scope of tax, heads of income from my notes, assessment procedure, omit offences and punishments, study appeals and revisions, exclude CVT. Study Sales Tax and FED. Fully exempt Customs Act.

Study the latest figures of GDP, GNP, Imports, exports, Foreign Exchange reserves, per capita income, masses living below poverty line, Previous, current and prospective FBR targets & collection. Thoroughly study FBR year book.

Also study unemployment, inflation, Foreign direct investment, public debt. Provincial and Local Taxes.

It fully depends on your qualification and job experience. Moreover, if you are a law graduate or a CA / ACCA / CIMA / ACMA part or full qualified you should cover all sections.

2 important things I have observed from current interview is that:
1. The interview penal is not asking for any current affairs.
2. If you have any professional accounting or law qualification you MUST tell the penal.

Someone had asked me that I have masters qualification should I tell the interview penal or not. So, all should declare their qualifications. For Economics and statistics qualification should tell the holder should tell the interview penal how your qualification is relevant to IR which is primarily a taxation and accounting.

It is disheartening to see that most of the candidates whom I have sent my notes do not even bother to go through my notes. I have received some 80-90 requests for notes and only 2 candidates have gone through my notes.

It is the limit you know. Yahan, wo baat ho rahi hi k gawaah sust, muddaey chust. Candidates are asking what is difference between financial year and fiscal year.

Today, many have requested me to continue on my email and cell number. I am not going to appear in PCS as had decided to appear yesterday. I believe in kar bhala so ho bahala, Sharing is caring. Moreover, I don't have any bias towards ethnicity or sect. I have been contacted by people from across Pakistan including AJK, Baluchistan, KPK, Punjab & Sindh. Good news for peshawer center candidates, schedule has been revised. Now interviews are in 2 phases. one from 18-9-17 to 22-9-17 and 2nd from 23-10-2017 to 27-10-17.
