Technical jobs or those belonging to a certain set of profession/knowledge such as teachers, lectures, engineering, medical have a combination of English and that particular subject as syllabus.

Where as some posts such as those belonging to forces, intelligence organisations have English, General science and ability, Current Affair, Pak affairs , islamiat as their syllabus for MCQ type screening test.

When you apply for a job at FPSC you get weeks prior to exam, and the syllabus can be covered at that time. Meanwhile, concentrate on what you are already doing or studying. Except English, which being a language can't be learnt within weeks you can prepare for exam after your application.

In short, alongside your current occupation or commitment , give a short time to English which is necessary for all competitive exams.

If we go by the rumors here and there, the result is expected in January and this is the earliest & quickest since interviews end on 5th December. But you know how long it takes FPSC to announce a result. The third factor is the result of 1400+ candidates and that's going to take some time. So I personally feel that it will be announced in March/April.

According to interview schedule no 30/2017 last interview is in islamabad on 17-11-2017. If it is last interview then Inshallah result will be declared in mid of January.
I am insisting on early result because this time fpsc has conducted this process much quickly as compare to previous cases. Lets hope for better.
Best of luck all you guys.

Never go to ASF if you are really a girl. It is a very demanding job and tough job. ASF has one of the highest attrition rate. FBR is definitely better one with, home posting (there is a a unit office in every district) double basic pay. Rewards, bonus & interest free 36 basic salaries. One of the fastest promotion path after getting BS-17 after DMG/PAS. No 24/7 on job like PAS or PSP. Saturday & Sunday are leaves.

But I understand that Lahore interviews end on 2nd Nov, Karachi on 16th and Isbd process ends on 17 Nov.

I guess it is going to take between 40-80 days from the last interview.

Spot on brother. 40 days time is bearable. 80 days looks like going into Hij'r & Firaq.
