The highest development of the long-wire antenna is the RHOMBIC ANTENNA (see figure 4-37). It consists of four conductors joined to form a rhombus, or diamond shape. The antenna is placed end to end and terminated by a noninductive resistor to produce a uni-directional pattern. A rhombic antenna can be made of two obtuse-angle V antennas that are placed side by side, erected in a horizontal plane, and terminated so the antenna is nonresonant and unidirectional.

Parabolic reflector antenna advantages
As with any form of antenna, the parabolic reflector antenna has a number of advantages and disadvantages. These need to be considered against those of other antenna types before selecting he one that is optimum for the job.

Advantages:

Some of the major advantages of the parabolic reflector antenna include the following:

High gain: Parabolic reflector antennas are able to provide very high levels of gain. The larger the 'dish' in terms of wavelengths, the higher the gain.
High directivity: As with the gain, so too the parabolic reflector or dish antenna is able to provide high levels of directivity. The higher the gain, the narrower the beamwidth. This can be a significant advantage in applications where the power is only required to be directed over a small area. This can prevent it, for example causing interference to other users, and this is important when communicating with satellites because it enables satellites using the same frequency bands to be separated by distance or more particularly by angle at the antenna.

Rhombic antenna is ? non resonant
Top loading done for ? its effective hight
Helical antenna is used in satellite because of its ? circular polarization
Constant current transformer should not be used ?primary and secondary winding surrounding core
Electrostatic buildup is avoided

We are eligible for this job b/c we are registered as elect engr with PEC...
But, Panel may be biased and will suggest to apply for telecom job...
But, be determined on your suitability...
For Punjab Merit will be arround 70 marks (as per my view)
Test was tough as compared to last time b/c then question were straight forward...
Overall marks will be a little bit low as compared to last time...
