For 20 vacancies, they will shortlist top 100 candidates. Thats what 5 top candidates for each vacancy means.

Those who had no prior knowledge of Statistics were at clear disadvantage. It would be the deciding factor in case of students who secured more than 70. The questions were extremely tough for those who had no knowledge of Statistics.
