IbneHussain I have sent you an email.
Basically Pitman's shorthand takes time minimum 8 months to one year. You have to remember strokes and transcribe the same in plain English. Understanding strokes is the biggest problem while transcribing. Sometimes you don't know what have you written. So "Practice makes a man perfect".

There are two books 1. New Course and key 2. Old Course and key
After that you have to pick articles or news stories from English newspapers.

Candidates shouldn't get too excited about the EOBI jobs. I talked to a serving AD(Operations) in EOBI who was selected in 2014 and he told me that he was still working at 2014 Basic Pay which is 18000 odd. Besides, AD (Operations) is a field job and one has to work 90% of the field work. So choose wisely as you will have to sign a surety bond of two years with EOBI in case of selection.

Bro there is no such thing as surety bond. I am currently serving as Executive Officer (Ops). After obtaining the necessary approval from finance ministry, salaries will be regularized as per the advertisement.

bro, what is the starting pay and what is the job mostly about. Do people get posted around pakistan or there is some leeway in selecting your home station or near it.

Thanks for the valuable info.....Qazi sb I want to know about Assistant post I got above 70 marks so If couldn't make it in typing. so I will be out of the race or not? I am asking typing is mandatory or not?
