So yu goin to Karachi from Islamabad on your own expense or is the company going to provide some TADA ??

The interview is on 12th, I'll be going on my own expense. If I clear this interview onto next round then they'll provide TA (or maybe DA as well). I called them up and confirmed the issue.

No offense jahanzaib but Every now and then there is some 1 who claimed to receive the mail from ppl .since many high scorer are saying that they didn't received any response from PPL so i am doubtful about jahanzeb ikram's Claim.

None taken... however, the only difference is that others who've claimed to have received any response from PPL never followed up on their post.

*and by statistics... (at the risk of sounding arrogant)

A) Most of the people working in petroleum industry are Mechanical Engineers, so more (and i mean quite many more) mechanical engineers will be called up than any other department. To spell it out for you: more Mechanical Trainees will be inducted than any other.

B) The number of Electrical/Electronics Engineers or MBA/BBA graduates are wayyyyy too many than Mechanical Engineers, so the competition is tough. To elaborate it more: lower merit for Mechanical than MBA/BBA/Electrical/Electronics guys.


And, do you KNOW for CERTAIN that MARKS are the ONLY criteria? And the bifurcated separate sections in the TEST (I know for certain I got full marks in the Analytical Section) hold no bearing on the shortlisting, none whatsoever. Your Higher Education Institution could be another role-playing factor, no? Any possibility that you may get the call letter a little later than of other disciplines, or PPL has to have the interviews on the same very date for all applicants?
