Guys I have two questions:

1) when I do reappear for YPA next year how should I approach Essay and Note Writing questions.
2) If you don't mind can you please share your contact (what ever feasible) so that we should be in touch.

You should focus on vocabulary and the application of vocabulary. I am not exhorting the cramming of vocabulary but the practical application of words and to use words in their true context. E.g, you can use myriad for many, dearth,paucity for shortage and there are many other examples. My contact number is 0333-4084420

thanks a lot everyone!i am really grateful to Allah for this opportunity!as for your first ques bro beast...regarding the note writing..i took 1 para and summarised it in one line only..with perfect grammar...

for the essay..you have to be really creative at it..make it stand out yet make sure its strictly relevant to the topic..and give lots of examples.! 90% of my essay was all examples proving my point stated in the 1st intro para.

thirdly..get into a reading habit..stories..newspapers..not necessarily political news..but read up on entertainment or sports..it improves your thinking and vocab.

at the interview..i met people who got 67 or 68 marks who were shortlisted...so i am not sure if the cut off marks were 70 as previously thought in this thread. So the only thing to target for is crossing 70 marks( i got 72)..which is a 90% guarantee that you are safe,regardless of what domicile you belong to or provisional quotas.

last but not the least, the 40% paper on verbal and math is important too..brush up your basic math skills..as getting a good score in these sections will help in getting a higher score..they are worth 40 marks!

Above all, pray to Allah to grant you success. and believe in Him that He will help you.and i can 100% guarantee this helped me succeed...i prayed to Allah for an easy paper with questions i could handle! and i got it! be consistent with namaz.

some candidates are not shortlisted even with 73 marks so what matters is your highest score in your field or category. But i guess 75 is a safe score

@beast I havent received any such call as mentioned by dilawar and amna from YPA but still hoping against hope that maybe something good may turn up. You never know

I,too, received the same call on 10th about 5:30pm asking whether i will be available on 22nd if called.I don't know if the call was made to the selected candidates only or to all the candidates who took the interview.
