Just recieved an appointment letter from Sngpl AlhamduliAllah as Grade 2 Engineer. they asked me to report for medical fitness before 20th august.No mention that where they will post me though.

Congrats. You will spend a few days in the headquarters of whatever your department is. Most departments' headquarters is in head office but some are outside, like metering in Kot Lakhpat and transmission in Faisalabad. After that, you will receive your posting order. Do you know which department you are selected in?

TY My Major is Mechanical but there was no mention of Department in the letter.Do they ask you which department you wanna go and which place also ? or thy just assign it. And also which department as per my field ( MEchanical ) is best according to you.

To other questions..guys i had 70 marks in nts..interview also went very good and i received it through TCS.

Your department is selected for you even before the interview. So no, they will not ask you about that. Once you get in SNGPL, there is no difference in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical engineer etc.
