Sorry to negate you. But, as per my knowledge, FPSC will call for interview all those candidates who would submit their credentials within 15 days.

Then for the wealth of your knowledge, know that FPSC doesn't conduct interviews immediately after calling in the documents, it again issues the list of "Provisionally Pre-selected Candidates" that is based on the top candidates as per the number of seats (quota-based and merit-based). So, FPSC will again issue the list of top 624 candidates (merit-wise) out of 751 candidates who are asked to submit the documents, rejecting those who failed to submit the documents or who do not meet the criteria mentioned in the advertisement as well as those who are low in order of merit. If they had to reject the low-merit candidates, then what is the logic behind asking them to submit documents. Why not reject them straight away ????: thinking

The logic behind asking more candidates than required to submit the documents is that more often than not there are candidates who although are high in order of merit but fail to possess the relevant degree, fail to fall within the age bracket, fail to submit the documents, fail to have the required experience etc. and hence such candidates even though higher in terms of merit are rejected and in place of them the lower candidates on the list are declared fit for interview. So, FPSC, for the safe side and to avoid wasting its own time, includes excessive number of passed candidates to submit the documents.

The result was declared totally on merit, up to this stage at least. FPSC deserves a 21-gun salute for being fair! Slow, but fair.

Can you mention a single example from the list you provided, who was rejected due to low merit for interview?
I couldn't find any. All were rejected bacause they couldn't meet the requirement of documents and experience.

Adeel Ahmed, I ask you a question instead, what if all 751 candidates submit their documents properly to FPSC, none of them is unfit as per the criteria laid down initially in the notification? What will FPSC do then? Okay, let's say, out of 751, 750 candidates submit proper documents in time and befit the criteria, then what will FPSC do? Select all 750 of them against its own rule of selecting only 3 candidates per quota-based seat and 5 candidates per merit-based seat -- the total of which in this case comes to 624 (183 quota-seats multiplied by 3 + 15 multiplied by 4 = 624 candidates). I await your answer.

Whatever it may be. It is not our concern. It is FPSC's headache.

FPSC is a public organization and it will do just how it tells us to do, i.e. it will govern the recruitment process as per its rules and procedures and will never deviate away from them, as expected of it.
