Dear all candidates,
I am from Punjab and I have given interview for the post of assistant and communication assistant.
They don't ask any GK or other questions, though occasionally they ask current affairs i.e Yemen situation, etc. It doesn't take more than 10-15 minutes for a candidate. The committee comprises of DG (personnel), Director (p-II) and a lady; might be A.D or else.
Though, there are rumors that seats have already been "booked", but I personally think that they ensure merit and transparency as many examples are cited for the posts.
So, dear all! aim high!, be positive! and just give your best!. I wish you all best of luck and please! pray for me also.

mostly medium of interview? urdu or English?
and your interview was taken according to letters or emails, because the interviews are re-scheduled.

I received both; a call from Foreign affairs as well as interview letters. They ask you questions in urdu only. Only one candidate told me that they had asked him about Yemen situation and put before him a sort of situation to know what he would do in that case. Rest were only asked about their qualification etc.
They asked me about my qualification, siblings, previous CSS attempts, temperament for accounts, etc. The whole interview was conducted in an amicable atmosphere. DG, sometimes agrees with you openly on some discussion. In the end, he wished me good luck. I thanked and came out.
I wore dress shirt with pent and tie.
