@ziauddin: Last year, i turned down Rs.120000 NAB offer, due to similar concerns, though am from Sindh. If you do not have any relatives there, its not advisable.To die is easy than to be kidnapped for ransom or handicapped for life. But remember, SMEDA's job is transferable (i think so), so if you do have right connections, you can opt for transfer. However, it seems premature to discuss such, as the job has not been offered yet. Interview is the main hurdle.

according to new policy by SMEDA these posts are not transferable under any circumstances and even if they are transferable with sifarish I will have to join in balochistan may be for one or two years which is not feasible under the circumstance . so bye bye SMEDA .
I will not go for the interview nor join it. I will be waiting for some posts in my area. besides SMEDA does not offer good packages.
if you Libra75 can leave 120,000 despite the fact that you are from sindh and Ziauddin can leave millions of rupees so being a person of sound mind i dont think difficult to make up mind. my family is also against even applying for such posts . I am signing off from SMEDA race in quetta cox life and happiness more important then money.

Hi I recieved the email from SMEDA today. I applied for RBC and got 79.

However this issue is concerned with only three out of eleven positions (management associate general cadre, coordinator and accounts officer, and provincial chief: 'duty station QUETTA' ).
Duty station of remaining positions is either in lahore, karachi or KPK.

It is a good oppertunity for those posts based in punjab, sindh or KPK region

I called them one week ago. they said that there will be 5 candidates called for each seat and the process will take four to five weeks. Somewhere in mid of Ramadan

I applied for Regional Business coordinator from Hyd and my marks are 66, Sindh Rural domicile...

Bro your marks look fine ...In my opinion you should give Smeda a call
