Scholarships on need basis

I have been using this forum for the last 4 years; I gained lot from members of this forum. Today I am posting a query after 8 months break. I have a very poor academic record till Masters’ degree (d grade in SSC and HSC and c in graduation) although I am very good at studies and have a very clear understanding of my subjects. The fact is that I belong to a very remote area of Azad Kashmir and got education till HSC there, after that I came to Karachi and did B.Sc in 2002. Then I taught in some secondary schools for three years and gained very significant grooming. By the grace of god I got job in a prestigious media group of Pakistan and it is still continue. I wanted to do CSS and I studied day and night for it for 5 months before I got a shock of my father's death a few days before my exams, so I could not take the exams. My confidence got shattered and I gave up the race for CSS else and concentrated on my job. I also concentrated on my education and did maters in mass communication with 3.5 GPA (75 %), now I am too old to attempt CSS or any other competitive exam. I wanted to do ms in mass communication from Karachi university and cleared the test and got admission but could not continue it because of job nature (too time consuming). Now I wanted to go complete my studies but I can not quit my job as it is the only source of my whole family’s income. the bottom-line is what are the options available for me to get higher education with job. I will be waiting a reply from the senior members of this forum.

dear peerless, dont regret on the css its over now, you hve done marvelous job while making bread and butter for your family members, ALLAH will reward you for this.

As far as your higher education is concerned, the best option available for you to do M.S. is certainly the University of Karachi or you may like to get yourself admitted at Allama Iqbal Open University. Brother keep in your mind that for doing M.S. you would b required to give some inputs, better to say some extra inputs..

As regards scholarships, i fear that University of Karachi would not be in a position to give you any scholarship, however, Allama Iqbal Open University use to give one time relaxation, think that one time relaxation is for only a one semester..... Nonetheless, you may like to go to some private university/institution e.g. Preston University etc., they may give you some need-based scholarship. may ALLAH bless you always, amin.

Thanks for your kind reply, i meant to say that I had succeed to get admission in Karachi University but as it needs more time than usual therefore i could not continue it because of my job nature. I need to know that what options are available to me overseas given my academic crieteria? I want to gain a foreign scholarship for higher studies, so please guide me in this regard.
