In an industry the average pay of total employees is 70 rupees if there are 12 offices whose average is 400rupes and the average of other employees is 60 rupees then what are the total numbers of employees?

well I am not good in typing but will try
look I always prefer short cut rather than detail answers...because I have experience of Gat in which time is too short
total employees ?
let total employees be X
1-avg salary of all employees = 70
2-avg salary of 12 employees= 400 and total of 12 = 4800
3-avg salary of remaining (x-12) employees = 60 and total of these = 60x-720
so mathematically,

(equation 2 +equation 3) / x should be = avg salary of all employees= 70

like
(4800+ 60x -720) / x = 70
solve it
u will get value of x as 408 which is no of all empolyees.
I hope I was able to clear your concept ....but I am dead sure about the answer
