Default Maximum duration of Scholarship
Kindly tell me regarding the maximum duration of the above mentioned Scholarship. Is it offered for Ms leading to PhD or separately for these programs?

2 years for MS and 3 years for PhD in case your studies are in other language than english then 1 year extra for learning that language... and its separate not MS leading to PhD.

It means total duration is 5 to 6 years.
Does it depend on your degree program?
what is maximum duration for PhD only?

haha nah it means either 2 years or 3 years depending upon if you are going for MS or PhD.

Three years is minimum duration for PhD. Usually research based degrees have both specified minimum and maximum duration.
kindly tell me regarding the maximum duration of this Scholarship for PhD only?

you can get extension for one year in PhD but for that one year you wont get stipend by IPC. IF they provide stipend it will be only for 3 years in PhD for last one year learn to manage on that country's stipend

hello i had 2 questions...

firstly is there any 1 year MS program on offer? as i might not be able to commit to a 2 year program.

secondly, the hec bond says that one has to come back to pakistan and stay here for 5 years. What if someone gets admission for phd in those 5 years? is he stuck in pakistan or can he still go abroad (for studying purpose only)?

it all depends on you which program you want to apply for if you can applied for some MS which is for one year IPC will give you scholarship for only one year.

Regarding your second question its tricky if you have went for PhD then they do hold you to serve for 5 years but for MS they dont really care thats why most of the scholarships they give are for PhD because them they can use in universities. so dont worry go for MS sign the bond and come back do whatever you want to do no one will ask.

Can someone switch to cultural exchange scholarship while availing indigenous scholarship?
Will HEC permit to let him go abroad on a different Scholarship to do Phd?

rule says if you are availing one scholarship you cant apply for another.
