I am sick of these protestors. Screening test was delayed two times and now this drama of lowering merit. Kppsc should not waste our time in screening if they have to make the test useless later.
If 1/25 is too harsh make it 1/50 1/60 or 50 to 60% cut off merit whatever they like just stand firm on it once a policy is announced, at least for that advertisement. And if they can't take pressure, they should abolish screening test and let everyone sit in written. Punjab is advertising pms every year aur idr screening aur protest may he 1 saal guzar jata hai.

Does Punjab hold the same policy 1/25? Or any other if you know? or anyone who knows?

The Commission should have clearly mentioned the 1/25 policy before the screening test by uploading a reminder on the official site. That was a mistake.Though I am not against a reasonable adjustment in the merit, if the Commission now succumbs to the pressure, it will set a dangerous precedent. Whenever a handful of people feel like justice isn't served (which is quite subjective in such cases), they will take to the streets.

Suppose the merit is lowered to 60 or even 55, the candidates falling within the orbit will call it justice. But what if those in the 40s arrange new protests and demand a further reduction?

That is why people below 40 are also calling it an injustice to keep them out of the competition.
Frankly speaking, the commission cannot make everyone happy. Such people will finds ways to blame others than to accepting their faults

I think these are the sort of consequences you face when you get in trouble with white collared people, not just anyone. [/B][/B]

Allah knows the future, so it is just mere assumptions.

True, it is very irresponsible of the commission to not place the notice of 25/1policy on their website, who read their rules . Guess what, I got to know about this policy the day I attempted the screening and it gave me a sleepless night because I hadn't studied, believing that we needed only passingmarks and that seemed a piece of cake. Thankfully 50 % English portion saved me and now I am only concerned with the timeline of written exam, baki commission jane and the protesters. Though I feel the merit is too high, it won't harm much if it's reduced to 60. They are making it a privilege to even sit in the exam, which shouldn't be the case.

I'm sorry, I'm new to the forum, I don't know why the whole answer is appearing in bold. Haha. I'm sure it's an error on my side, but one I wasn't aware of.
