Just came to know that I was in with a chance. One of my friends scores 677 in the written and 180 in the interview, and has been allocated. I've none but myself to blame. In my interview I made a blunder..

In the interview..after a brief introduction..
Chairman: "Gentleman, aap ne engg ki hai, in the most exciting and ever expanding etc etc field main, PMS main kaise"?
Me: Sir mujhay bachpan se shoq tha.
Chairman: Laughs, "Kitne bachpan se?"
Me: "Sir I mean jab se main ne hosh sambhala".
Chairman: laughing again.."Kab hosh sambhala aap ne?"LOL!

How kiddish of me!
I answered rest of the questions with conviction and confidence but had made a very bad impression on the panel with the most kiddish answer ever..Happy they still gave me 150 marks.

Thank you bro Waseem. I have mixed feelings, happy that it was my first ever try at competitive exams. Happy, that the time I took that exam I knew not even half as much as I know now and still scored 684. Sad that I could've qualified had I done a little better on my interview.

Hope to do much better next time. Need your prayers. Lots of them.

Default Open Merit Seats Formula

Islaw Khan first of all thaks alot for your kind reply. 2ndly few days back I paid a visit to KPKPCS Office and met some authentic and responsible officials who gave me a detailed information about the Merit Seats Allocation and let me share it with you guys...this is totally different from federal allocation method. KKPPCS has a unique formula(which seems illogical to me) i-e they distribute the total seats in a 24 24 blocks and then allocate the 1st seat to the candidate with highest marks i-e to the merit then the other 3 seats are allocated to different zones and then the 5th one is again allocated to merit and the other 3 again to zones and so on... I dont know what kind of method it is? and what is the logic behind it?

Regards.

Wow and very confusing, I am sure no one have come across this, like me. I ll try to know it and ll share it then, but if so, then its not fair formula,

Anybody who can confirm it from KPPSC Office that in case some of the qualifiers due to any reason don't continue with this PMS, especially those who possibly qualify CSS 2011, will their seats be allocated to those who are somewhere down in the merit list or not?

Brother thats what I am trying to tell you people. It is completely illogical formula and the concerned official told me that this is the part of 1970-Rules which the commission is following from the last few decades. You know what if they would follow the FPSC rules then I would be the part of the current PMS Batch anyways its useless to cry over spilt milk.

No brother no chance I have already confirmed it from the office. KPKPSC process is totally different from that of CSS. I was told by the registrar that if such a case arises then it would be the responsibility of the establishment department to ask the commission to call some other qualifier down in the list but further he added that it normally does not occur and if such case arises then they make it a part of the next PMS

REGARDS.
