I talked to a friend of mine who once appeared in such a test. He says you should study who is who and what is what and english. I dont know how much is it reliable.

Friends! I do have the experience of appearing in such a test (Assistant Commissioner, Mines and Minerals Deptt) and was fortunate enough to qualify but couldn't make to the post. As I'm on my smart phone and can't send a lengthy post so you please consult my previous post in this regard. Good luck!

Dear Adil I Would love to agree with you but area of specialization doesnt make any sense at all. For example, If I am a compuyer engineer so the test wouldnt be completely based on it. It will be general as per my understanding so that everyone gets an equal oppurtunity to stand by it.

you're absolutely right friend but as they've mentioned it in the letter that, barring English, the mcqs would be based on the subjects mentioned in the advt, so what I'm advising is a reasonable option, otherwise everyone has got his/her own choice. good luck!
