SUBJECT:- COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION FOR THE POST OF PROVINCIAL MANAGEMENT SERVICE (BPS-17)-2008


International Law

Time allowed: 3 hours
Max marks:100


Note: Attempt any five questions. All questions carry equal marks.

1. How and what respect does international law differs from Private international Law and Municipal Law?

2. What measures would you suggest for making the UN Security Council more effective in maintaining world peace?

3. Under what conditions a state can intervene in the affairs of another state? Also explain the different kinds of intervention.

4. What are the Aims and Objectives of the United Nations? How far it has been successful in achieving these objectives?

5. Is international Law only concerned with the rights, duties and interest of the states? Explain as to whether individuals are also “subjects” of international law or not?

6. Discuss the composition, Jurisdiction and competence of international court of Justice.

7. Write short notes on any three of the following:
a) Territorial Sovereignty
b) Extradition
c) Adjudication
d) Statelessness
