Question WiFi Connection Problem

Assalamualaikum all,
Hope you all are doing well. I am experiencing a problem at my work with the wifi connection. Whenever I try to connect my laptop (having win xp) it says certificate cannot log you on .. (probably because they have win 7 and wpa2-psk). The Computer man told me to upgrade my laptop to win 7 but I do not want to get on win 7 nor i can buy a new laptop..
Could anyone of you please let me know what should I do to troubleshoot the above said problem?

Regards.

Goto control panel->network connections, right click on your wireless network and click properties, goto wireless network tab, make sure Enable IEEE 802.1x authentication for this network is not checked. If it is then uncheck it and try reconnecting.

I think you have some software installed which is managing your wifi' connection. Make sure you have set it up to let windows manage wireless connections

Which device(adapter) you are using to receive wifi signals?

If that adapter is TP-Link, then you should download TP LINK WIRELESS CONFIGURATION UTILITY.

After installing this, you will be able to use your wifi connection even on WINDOWS XP.

I hope it helps.

If you have anyother device than TP LINK, then write it model name in google search and download its configuration utility.

Try this:

Get on any computer which is already connected to the wifi network you are trying to connect on your laptop. on that computer:
Click on start menu and then click on Run
Type cmd and hit enter
in command prompt window type 'netsh wlan show profile' (without quotes ofcourse ), it will show you a list of wifi profiles already saved on that computer.
note the name of wifi network and type 'netsh wlan export profile name=(type name of the profile you want to copy exactly as it appeared in the list, e.g. mhmmdkashif) folder=(type path of the folder or directory where you want to export it, e.g. D: to save it on the root of your D drive).
As soon as you are done with that, you would find an xml file on the path you chose. Copy that file to a usb or any removable media and attach it with your computer. Now copy the file on your computer, open command prompt, type 'netsh wlan add profile filename=(type the name of file you just copied alongwith path, e.g. D:\abc.xml)' and hit enter. After it has installed the profile, try connecting

In case wlan command is not available on your windows xp, it can be downloaded.
