How to Identify Fake Facebook Profiles

This is a very effective method to identify whether a Facebook Profile is genuine or not. Further it is also voilation of Facebook rules to make a fake identity.

Step 1:

Go to the profile which you want to evaluate. Right click on the profile picture and click on "Copy image URL" or if you are using Firefox click on "Copy image location"

Step 2:

Go to images.google.com and click on "Search by image"

Step 3:

Paste that link in bar and click on "Search by image"

Step 4:

This will give you the results, from which you can easily evaluate whether it is a fake or genuine profile, as in my search results it is evident that this is fake profile.

From this method you can also check that either any person is using your profile picture or not. Apart from this I would like to advice female users that they should avoid to use face pictures as their profile picture. If you do so, any one can use your picture for a fake account. Stay safe over web.

Note:- Images are hosted on the servers of pirate bay, which is free service.

1- Let for example: my profile is genuine overall, but I am using an image e.g of any film star, singer or some avatar, does it mean my profile is fake?
2- it can only help a little to identify the account's authenticity.

fornetu is right.this method can work just to identify the picture of the account , wether it is real or fake,,and more precisely it is for boys,those boys,who add a girl by seeing their beautiful dp :P so they can check it out by using this method :P like anonymous has finally find out that most of his friends are using fake pictures :P

Waise i had deactivated my Fb account a year ago . But , i cannot understand that how this method works rather than just identifying the fakeness of Picture ; not whole profile .

I usually judge by the profile picture. If the profile picture doesn't match with other pics chances are that the profile is FAKE!
