Query about Current status of HEC & O level

Salam ! Kindly answer these two questions as soon as possible,I need urgently.

1)What is Current status of HEC ? Is it still autonomous or not ?

2)What is criteria to calculate O level percentage to make it equivalent to matric percentage ? I mean If an O level student applies for some job or further studies so how would his grades/percentage be calculated ?

HEC is still working as an autonomous body. As per decision of the current government, HEC will to work on status quo basis for current NFC award. However, considerable cut was made for its budget etc.

For finding answer to said query, go to this website Inter Board Committee of Chairmen, Islamabad and click on equivalence box, which is at six number at left pane... You will have a word file, open it and read 1.2 Conversion of Grade/Marks... Pertinently InterBoard Committee of Chairmen is the authorized body to determine equivalence/attestation/conversion of grades & marks at Matric/Intermediate /O & A levels etc.

Farah HEC is still an autonomous but with less financial and administrative powers.
