What is the status of Virtual university of pakistan among other universities of pakistan? Why its degree is not considered worthy?

Who told you VU degree is not considered worthy? VU Degree is recognized by HEC like other universities Currently 45,000 students from Pakistan and more than 2,000 students from foreign countries are getting online education from VU. No university provides education at your doorstep like Virtual University. Its providing a unique education system based on use of technology and resources and even students of other universities i.e QAU get help from VU study notes for research purposes. Its just a confusion among some people that its degree is not considered worthy. I have done MBA Finance from VU and I'm doing a respectable job in Govt. sector.

Dear, i have also done my graduation from VU. I got 2nd position there. Now i am doing Msc from Pu. Here people say different things about it. Even director of my department once in a meeting said me that VU ki to degree e jali ha.
Here in this forum, i saw various posts where people referred VU notes and cds.so i asked.

Then your director has a poor knowledge about VU and HEC. VU is a very good university. Infact it's the only university in Pakistan who is providing opportunity to people who have not time to go formal universities. I know many people, who after doing their degrees from VU, now doing their higher studies in LUMS, PU, UCP, COMSATS, NUST and abroad. I also know many people who, after doing their degree from VU, doing very good jobs. AND I also know people in my organization who have taken promotion on the basis of the degree of VU, they did while their studies. o don't worry. If, HEC is satisfied with VU, who else is to raise objections.
PS: I am not a student of VU.

VU is so pleased to achieve the highest rank by QAA and all the credit goes to management and staff of the University.

you should don't be disheart, instead you should have defend VU against such propaganda by following facts.
1- it rector is the president of Pakistan.
2- its degree is recognized by HEC.
3- it MOU with many renowned local universities like NUST, MUST, NED etc.
4- it is federal chartered university and is operating throughout the country.
5- the instructor are HEC approved.
6- in BOD there are representative of Govt Officials.
VU is best university in distant learning module in Pakistan. the grading system much more effective as compared to average regular education module universities.

Yes you can appear in the CSS.

and please stop doubting VU. It is charted by Govt. Of Pakistan and carry equal status in terms of recognization, with the Punjab University, Quaid-e-Azam University and other Public Sector Universities of Pakistan.

Although I'm a bit late but Faisal is absolutely right. I myself appeared in CE2015 on the basis of a 2 years VU degree. You're all set Sabah.
