Text books most importantly, if you are doing privately, consult famous publishers' books, internet and even you can consult notes here on this forum preferably by Last Island.

In the above post the reverend member actually told you about the publisher. It is Famous Publishers. This is Publishing House which publishes the books regarding English literature. I studied their books in both my M. A English as well as during my graduation with English Literature. The other publisher is New Kitab Mahal. The books by both of these are worth studying for M. A English. However , I found Famous Publishers book slightly better.

dear, new kitab mahal books are very useful in this regard. they are in easy language and very compresehensive.

I have studied both the publishers and both are suitable in one way or the other,but the basic thing is concept clearance ,for this purpose text must be read thoroughly....Best Of Luck!
