I did it all on my own and the answer by Last Island is correct

I solved the riddle on a paper
making diagrams of the 5 houses first
then figuring out the colors of the houses
followed by putting other hints as they came by
at the end it was the German who was left with no pet so I gave him the fish

According to my calculation

1st is Yellow house

Belongs to Norway
Drinks water
Smokes Dunhill
has cat

2nd is Blue House

Danish
Tea
Blends
Horses

3rd is Red House

Brit
Milk
Pall Mall
Birds

4th is Green House

German
Coffee
Prince
Fish

5th is White House

Sweedish
Beer
Blue Master
Dogs

u figured out the answer with cat rather than fish.

@Lord Avalon

in the whole riddle there is no mention of fish. where did the fish came out of it. or is it an assumption that the missing pet woulod be fish?

Actually I was so much "damagh kharaab" with the cat k it was on my mind till the end.

The cat is in the yellow house and it was repeating before my edit
Now there is nothing wrong with the calculation I think

I have made the correction, The cat was repeating in my post before edit

Yes of course the missing pet would be fish
When every body else gets a unique pet
then there is only one guy who has no pet
and at the end its the german so give the fish to the german and you are done

this fishy kinda question i had in my psychological test. and i had only 30 seconds to solve it? so qs is "is there anyone who can solve this kinda question in 30 seconds".

may be Last Island know something? if she is the one

or there r other ppl proclaiming such ability?

I think 30 seconds is not realistic
not even enough to carefully read out the whole riddle

I could do it in 20 minutes !!

you are perfectly right. it needs much time. early questions in psychological test are relatively easy, but this kinda questions come to you in the last section of psychological test where u just got that much time left to answer it. i wonder who would be able to do that in such time. in my case i had made "tukka".

I've just come to know that the same question was asked in 2008 in this forum and the members who could solve all took about 20 minutes.
