first i will have to submit some form now to assure my appearance in next exam or will they announce some date?
should i start the preparation from now and how much time will it take to?

w/salam..
Css forms are submitted in october.
You have one year, enough to prepare for the css exam.
First of all, take a book 'css syllabus', go through the basic rules, past papers etc. Consult css forum and if you feel handicapped in anything, you can consult seniors as well. Academies do not serve the purpose properly in this regard. Good luck..

1. Go through beginners guide on CSS Forum to get aware of necessary information about CSS.
2. If you have access to some acadmey, visit it for a month so that you can be aware of CSS exam and preparation pattern.
3. Select your optional subject ( Choice of optional subject should be according ro yoir study background and scoring trends in exam so be very careful while chosing)at your earliest so that you can easily plan a schedule for preparation and gain maximum possible time for preparation.
4. Take guidelines from some seniors for books and notes and how to prepare the subject.
5. Go through past papers, syllabus and course outline before starting preparation. It eill help you in planning a schedule.
6. It depends upon your ability, hardwork, commitment and dedication that how much time will it take.Generally 10-12 hours study for 6 months is more than enough but I am again repeating that It will depend upon how you manage things.
7. Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) will announce on its website and in newspaper also in the end of September ( probably) last week, about examination schedule. Following the past trends, registration for exams will start from 1st October and will end on 31st October. You will have to apply online on the FPSC website and you will have to deposit a bank challan of amount Rs. 2200/- in the National Bank of Pakistan as an examination fee.

I hope I have answered all your queries regarding your questions. You are welcome for more and Good Luck!
