Default 2nd attempt vs Scholarship

I am one of the flunked aspirants of 2015 CSS exam. Since then, I've been in a professional life, working in a shipping company. The passion and determination of CSS is still existent in me. However, taking a second attempt would not only hamper my job but also disallow me to forge for other opportunities. Currently, I'm also looking forward for Chinese scholarship program and willing to go abroad to study MPhil and continue my studies. I'm in the fetter where many opportunities are available but the only issue is handling all these things simultaneously. If I go for 2nd attempt in 2018 and funk again, it would both waste my years and compel me to quit my job for some months. I need suggestions from seniors which opportunity should I keep upfront? I know there are many chances that would be available for me after attaining scholarship program. you might consider this post pessimistic, but there is an evident reality of very less chances to pass CSS and more chances to get scholarship.

Need serious suggestions in this regard.

Go for the scholarship option as results of CE 16 suggests that FPSC is in no mood to alter the existing pass ratios. One or two subjects will be targeted and the onus will be laid on our faulty education system.

Secondly, as you said, that availing scholarships will open you new avenues, so don't risk it for unpredictable CSS

If you are well with in the age limits, then after scholarship or during job, you can take an attempt, for the fun of it. (Even if you want to)

I was also thinking about taking exam for the second time after completing my academic studies and getting into safe career. I'm gonna turn 24 this year.

You can't have the best of both worlds. In order to pass CSS exam, one needs to put everything aside and focus completely on one thing and that is its preparation. Aspirants seem to juggle job, education and CSS which is quite a daunting task to do. My suggestion to you and everyone else who happens to read my comment that if someone really wants to pass the exam or be sincere with the CSS then they must take risk of leaving a job, and if not possible then at least give up on pursuing higher education until all chances are availed.
