Effective written work for newspaper requires;
1) Reading more and more
2) Analysis
3) Write in your own words. First of all pick a topic on your favourite issue (Social, Political etc) about which you also have more sufficent informations or observation then start write on it. What you have seen or observe? what are reason behind the issue? How the issue is to be handled?

Question query !
I want to know that if we want to write some story not related to current affairs, and send it to DAWN, will they publish it on the letters to the editor page ? (If I intend to get it published on the letters to the editor page)

If you want to write something not related to current affairs then you should send it to Dawn Magazine or Images in Sunday Dawn. In letters to the editor section you can send any piece of writing which does not exceed 400 words. I hope you got the point.

I have query.

Is it mandatory to write CNIC number along with name if some one writes to letters to the editor section?

If some one writes letter first time for the news paper, is it unavoidable to give brief introduction of oneself to the editor?

Question What about Urdu Writing

I m very good in urdu writing, I also have a novel written by me n I wana write article and column in Urdu news papers, furthermore tell me how I can get my novel published as I dont have enough resources to publish it at my own, Plz guide me.


I shall be highly oblidged and thankful.
