I am a common man and you are special;
Who made you special?
I had my dreams and hopes;
You promised to fulfil them.
I voted for you;
I made you special.
Today, you sit in your air-conditioned cars and rooms;
I walk on the roads in the scorching heat.
You enjoy all the luxuries of life;
I do not know how to survive and fulfil my needs.
I am burdened with the worries of today;
You are not bothered or concerned.
I am a common man and you are special;
But just think for a second;
The time will pass and I will wait for tomorrow;
In the next phase;
I will be special and you common;
What are you going to expect from me?
The same, or something different?
