Pakistan top on porn search: Google denies

ISLAMABAD: Google officially denied the accuracy of its search trends that declared Pakistan as the top nation searching for illicit material on the internet, according to Dawn sources.

Internet Service Provider Association of Pakistan has also declared statistics regarding pornography in Pakistan as flawed.

Earlier based on these findings, a number of foreign newspapers and websites started humiliating Pakistani nation and even maligned the country’s name.

Referring to the news about illicit search trends in Pakistan, Google’s public affairs head of South-East Asia said that the statistics were based on limited data therefore they cannot be regarded as final opinion.

In Sudi Arabia all porn sites are blocked....but In pakistan they earn commission on porn sites....and Karachi is on the top who buy new pics and movies online by using credit cards...

i think its high time that we all realize the tectonic impact that this trend is having on our youth...the free availability of such material on net cafes and open access on internet is destroying the moral, psychological and religious fabric of our youth. an organized and systemic effort should be launched to force all the concerned authorities to block such material..............

Obviously there might be people who regularly visit such porn related sites.
Basically we muslim should keep in mind that we have been assigned very big responsibility from Allah.We should very humbly take in to consideration that we have been watched by every one in world.No one but our religion is under criticism when we do any wrong in the world.When any body commits any unlawful thing non muslim start blaming Islam with out knowing what Islam preach in this regard.Also they donnot consider it some one personal offense rather they make generalisation that all Muslims are corrupt.
So friend it is up to us to bring dignity to our selves and Our Religion by not visiting such material.

I wonder why the google itself not ban this stuff in its own search engine ? It is same as they first introduced tea in south asia and distributed it free at the door steps of the people, and when people become addicted to it, they started selling it on high price. Google is earning billions from the adds attached with these type of sites and would like more and more people to watch this stuff so that their revenue is increased. We should keep the Security high (as this option is available in all PCs ) to protect ourselves from this kind of unwanted entertainment of the west.

You can not possibly take these reports at face value. I'm sure there will be youngsters with porn addiction. But be honest, What percentage of Pakistanis even have access to the internet.

No statistics are provide, Pakistan is just placed on top of the list. Out of total population, How many have the access to Internet, How much time they spend on Internet (keep in mind the long hours of load shading) and how much time is spent on porn sites.

Why it is so important to repeat again and again Pakistan banned Facebook?
