Default ASMA Jahangir shame on you.

Owners of foreign funded NGOs talk like this........ Everyone knows about the character of Justice Ramday. She was nominated for Supreme court bar elections by government ,PPP. Attorney general, federal minister for law and justice provided funds for her victory. so now she is speaking what PPP can not speak openly.

Rightly said,, I agree,,,,
Infact, this is just point scoring and nothing else...
PPP has forwarded her to just go against judiciary in each & every action.

Why Haroon Rashid and Ansar Abbasi don't say that, "We represent the 4th Pillar of the State i.e. Media". ? Asma Jehangir is a fool woman and non-sense pro-western propagandist with ulterior motives.

Asma Jahangir to get UN award for human rights

One of Pakistan’s leading human rights defenders, Asma Jahangir, was Tuesday named as this year’s winner of a UN award that recognizes outstanding individual contribution to promoting a culture of human rights around the world.

The Director-General of the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Irina Bokova, nominated Ms. Jahangir as laureate of this year’s Bilbao Prize for the Promotion of a Culture of Human Rights in recognition of her work in Pakistan’s Supreme Court where she championed the rights of religious minorities, women and children, according to a UN press release issued at UN Headquarters in New York.

Ms. Jahangir is the president of the Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan, a founding member of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan and served as its Secretary-General and chairperson.

Plz cite her hidden agenda.

dont you think UN awarded those people who done something which is in favour of America...and who go against America he will be ruined by any means...for example Aafia Siddiqui...and if Asma Jahangir get the award due to Human rights...than where was Asma Jahangir's human rights activity that time when Aafiya siddiqui was insulted and treated like animals....try to analyse things keeping in mind all the issues being occurred around us.. than u can easily deduce that the hero from Pakistan only rises when they are helping someone other than Pakistan....

Really?Dont tell me now that Mr. Edhi has got UN award due to American influence.

This news is a day old but important enough that we don’t want to ignore it. Maulana Abdus Sattar Edhi has won the UN award for his work in promoting tolerance and non-violence. He shares the award with a Belgian human rights activist Franois Houtart.

We are happy to see Pakistanis being recognized for non-violence and tolerance.

The recognition that Edhi has got is called the ‘UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)-Madanjeet Singh Prize’. This prize was created in 1995 to advance the concept of tolerance in arts, education, culture, science and communications. It is awarded every two years.

Dr Aafia case is quite controversial. So dont divert our attention from topic.

If the committee which is to confer awards see this video they will either be repentant or reverse their decision. I wonder what happened to our country, we are destined to be ruled by such people or led by them. Most important problem is lack of education of our country where such people are dominant on them.

For your info there is no criteria for awards, the person having more exposure will be regarded, there are many other people who are in dark but serving best in their capacity. Not to speak of UN awards people even reject noble prizes due to its criteria and favor.

Why Afia's case is controversial? It is interlinked to topic that Why she didn't come forward in that issue? She only remembers Human Rights when Indian terrorists are captured in the soil of Pakistan. How she was elected President of SCBA?

i think people are sensible enough that they can evaluate why i am comparing or relating both things....secondly i m not that smart who can divert one's attention from one topic to another....but these both issues are related to Pakistan and if one is so promising in an activity than how can she miss this case of Human Right.....these all are bitter truths which we know but still we want to avoid or ignore it to keep ourself away form any confusion....
