2. syeds are called so because of Hazrat Bibi Fatima (a.s) thats why the off springs of Hazrat Ali a.s and Hazrat Fatima are called syeds.
3. Hazrat imam Zain-ul-abideen ki olad me sy hi baqi syed b aye hn. there are 12 imam, starting from Hazrat Ali k.w till imam Mehdi Akhir-uz-zaman....
4. i don't know abt gardaizi syeds

There are many sayeds with different names, those belong to different fiqah & cast. likewise gardizi sayeds esp.belong to Pathan cast, you won't find gardizi sayeds in any other castes.

Syeds are Syeds only. There is nothing like pathan syed or sheikh syed, or awan syed. No doubt there are fake Syeds too. Once my classfellow told me "Hamari gali main jo doodh wala hai, wo Syed ho gya hai last week".

Ahla-al bayt means people of the home of AnHazrat P.B.U.H.

Syed is taken as the descendants of Hazrat Ali r.a. and Hazrat Fatima r.a. It is Arabic word, which means Chief of tribe or an honored man, this is the reason that in many Arabian countries any respectable man is called Syedi/Syed etc. The word is taken as superiority/upper hand in everything/anything, anytime, anywhere and at any place. The so called superiority, which do not coincide with the sermons of AnHazrat p.b.u.h and words of Quran narrated by Allah Almighty, most specifically the last sermon is devoid of any thing for superiority for any tribe or clan.

No, all wives of AnHazrat p.b.u.h are also termed as Ahle Bayet. As per ayat 34 of Surah Ahzab, Allah Almighty calls all wives of AnHazrat p.b.u.h as Ahle Bayet. Quran says it, so no body can differ!

Descendants of Kahtun-e-Jannat Bibi Fatima-az-Zahra (a.s) are Syeds only and rest belong to their fathers' caste.

Since, Ali-e-Muteza (a.s) married more than one woman, so his kids from other wives are called as Alawis, and not syeds. (Hazrat Abbas Alamdaar was an Alawi from Um-ul-Baneen)

All Hashimis are not Syeds! but all syeds are Hashimis!

You can also find a variety of fake Syeds as well.
