salam 2 all the member i am starting this thread to know ur comments abt personality i think personality plays an imp role in our success coz our behaviour creats an impression on other's mind .to have a good personality i think 3 things r most imp
1.our sitting posture must be good we must sit straight.
2.odpt YOU attitude means we sholud take care while talking to others.
3.be polite

I must say that personality grooming matters a lot and it makes an impression of us everywhere. It does not develop in a single day but it takes our whole life to develop. You know our daily routine, our home and working environment and many other factors have a direct as well as indirect impact upon it.

One can guess others background only by having a strong observation of its personality. Thats is a fact and one should be careful in this regard. All these things seem small but they really matter and make an impression of our mind upon others.

The three aorementioned things are equally pivotal and one should consider them for personality grooming. They will help him/her out to develop a strong personality.

Well its a good topic.The posture,attitude and politeness ARE important for a good personality.But don't you think these things unimportant with compared with character.Author Stephen Covey(7 habits fame) has discussed the issue of personality and character in the beginning of his book.In his view , personality assumes less important over the long haul.That means , the to create a basis of permanent trust and confidence personality may be helpful but it may not always help us.On the other hand , a good character can always attract trust and respect.

Totally agree to your points. Nodoubt character is more important as compared to our outer personality. As far as I think in my view personality is amalgamation of outer looks & character both.Outer looks are not in a persons own hand but by enhancing the traits of one's character one can enhance one's personality.

Yes personality has an important impact on other's mind & most important suggestion in your post is that our attitude must be good because if our attitude is positive it will leave a good impact on other's
mind. In this attitude our way of thinking, way of dealing with others & even our feelings & emotions are inculded if all these are positive definatly our personality will leave a positive impact on others.

Good points dear nodoubt sorroundings of a person have an important
role in making or maring the personality of that person. Behaviorism school of thought in psychology believes that Enviorenment of a person has far reaching impacts on a person's personality as compared to his heredity traits.

2nd point of observation is also very authentic & I myself believe that most of time observation teaches more than experiences.

No doubt personality outlook plays an important role in image formation.

There are two basic things about personality one is physical outlook comprised of your sitting posture, gestures, movements, voice quality, and physical appearance. Second, is your knowledge that you speak in your conversation and way of handling issues and your managerial skills.

Both carry great weightage in personality grooming and image formation. If you are weak at one area you wont be able to make an image. I have seen a css qualifier of 2004 and 2005 who missed interview twice caz of poor personality outlook. So it matters alot when we are making relations and communicating at larger scale.

While talking to others you have to follow certain things:

**** Talk less and listen more caz you have one mouth to speak while 2 ears to listen,

**** Talk politely and keep the pitch and frequency of your voice slow.

**** Talk meaningfully and provide logical replies.

**** Develop a standard for yourself and never jump down to it even if you are in the company of your buddies.

**** Prove yourself decent and always talk decently.

**** Try to be comprehensive and precise while talking at an official and come to the point early rather wasting time in here and there issues.

**** It is well known saying that eat what you wish but wear what others expect, so try to dress yourself according to the demand of occasion but it doesnt mean to compromise the component of decency... I mean to say keep in mind the formality level of gathering.

After following all these things one can make good impression on the opponent.

But as personality is comprised of both physical & cognative features, we can say that this & this can be done to enhance our attitude & to improve our personality's image but what about the voice quality & physical features because these are God-gifted qualities & can't be acquired by efforts???
Just by following the purticular code of dress is it possible to give good impression of one's personality???

Good work by others too. Personality grooming matters because it will tell you how to interact in a society. It plays a pivotal role in your prosperity. One should have a good personality for making a good and long-lasting impression on others.

thanx for ur posts that was the main purpose of starting this thread to know ur views abt personality coz in every field especially for a competative std personality matters alot as said by miss naqvi there r some intelligent ppl who qualified in css written examz but didn,t qualified in interview just becoz of their personality (their sitting posture was not good it was creating bad impression )this may be due to lack of confidence too.

personality, first we need to know what is suppose 2 mean.....its not ur sitting posture or the wau u talk...its even more Miss naqvi....
one has to be a person with a balanced one and u can hve one only if u take the avenue that leads to a wholesome personailty.
you gotta put ur head down at times and go through books on the other hand its imperative to take part in sports as well, doesnt it ??

so i believe you all now know what i really mean..........
