Dear !
Official drafting is an art and a pleasure too.
It has utmost importance in official correspondence.
If you are to be the master of the art I would like to advise you on the basis of my professional experience that
• Try to follow copy and go through the latters crafted by senior colleagues.
• Practise is key, you must practice as much as you can
• you are not going to learn this over night you will progress and improve day by day
• It all depends upon your interest and keeness to develop your writting skills so keep the hunger untill you come over the line.
• the valuable out line by Xeric; who is always very kind in guiding juniors, worth adoption.

Very rightly advised by Xeric. The specimens are given in the Secretariat Manual, however, for practicing purposes and to get the real knowledge one may like to see the old letters/Memos/O.Ms as well as one can see some old Superintendent/P.S, who will guide one very well about the office procedures and the art of writing good letters/Memos. They can also show him/her the quality old letters/Memos written by good people so that one may get an idea of quality letters/Memos.

Ones sentences should be simple having brevity and clarity.

Further, one should not try to use alien language, many people get old letters and use the option of Shift +F7 /Thesarus, they see synonyms and just paste it without getting into the actual meaning/the usage of that word. One should avoid these things.
