Why PTI fail in Punjab
Assalam o alikum to all members ,
All friends commented their worth views in the thread . Here i would like to add some points in my view to whi party not performed upto the target. 1. PTI lacked at many fronts to lead the masses. 2. Imran only concentrated in Punjab for compaign. 3. His proudy and abusive style. 4. Only criticism on N league. 5. Ineffective subsequent supporting partners ,they only eye on party after imran. 6. No logical policies to attract logical and aged people . 7. His over confidence and lacks of moral values and ethics. 8. Lacks on tolerance and forebearance and leadership. 9. Indoor links with ppp,mqm and other parties to overvehlm N league. 10. Weak agenda on economical growth and overcoming on crises. 11. Inclusion of LOTAS in party. 12. No persistency in merit as he claimed at the birth of party. 13. No satisfying response on funds flow for compaigning . 14. Relations with Ex.wife caused lack of trust of masses in imran. 15. Maximum supporters under the age of 18 having no voting rights. Are main reasons of his low seat winning in punjab and as a whole . |

Being a PTI fan, I believe, yes we are down, yes we are bruised and yes we are battered pacifically in Punjab, but surely we are not out and Inshallah, we will be back in next election with ever more zeal and zest. However, the need is that PTI diehards need to embrace the poll in democratic and dignified manner rather than mud-slinging and being feeling paranoid.
Good luck Pakistan. |

Change!
Imran Khan ambitions are good, he is sincere to the country, but as mentioned by seniors politicians he lacks political maturity and in my opinion this is one of the main reason of his failure. Criticizing too much N League reflected a very bad image among masses whereas he mostly kept silent on bad acts all other parties. Jab aik siasi leader aik jalsy mein yeh kehta ha k NS aik geedar ha, N ko bally sy Phenti lagy gi to yeh aik intihai ghair muhazab tariqa ha. Jab keh yahan yeh kaha ja raha ha k Pathan change lay ay, per yeh bat he zehan mein rakhni chahya k pathan Jazbati or juldi impress hony waly or baqi mulk k muqbly mein zaida masoom hain. Koi bhe admi, jab tak k usk pass Job na ho, usk pass apna gher na ho, road na ho, saeverage na ho to usk in cheezo ka hona he change ho, usy PTI k naaro sy koi farq nahi partha, woh vote usy he dega jis ny usy scholorship di, jis ny usk village mein Danish School banay etc, I think The development by Shahbaz Sharif in Punjab played a vital role in success of N in Punjab. (Mainly PTI supporters upper middle class sy belong kerti ha) Aik aisa admi jo LUMS mein parhta ha, bahria town ya defense mein rehta ho, usk pass job/business ho, apni gaari ho, woh to laazman imran Khan waly change ki he bat kary ga, Per jo admi Aik government idaray mein parh k aik average degree leta ha or public transport leta ha usk liy filhall PML N ki govt thek ha. This is the difference b/w N and PTI. |

Most of the PTI candidates were not active in their constituencies. There was no proper election campaign in different parts of their constituencies. Here in our constituency, most of the people even did not know about the name of the PTI candidate. While at the same time PML-N candidate and PPPP candidate were very active in election campaign and they visited each and evey village of the constituency. So without proper campaign it is impossible to get victory in elections.
PTI's blame game against PML-N while ignoring other parties also affected its propaganda. PML-N's propaganda against PTI, that PTI and PPPP joined each other win election against PML-N worked and many people were in a view that by voting PTI they will indirectly vote to PPPP so they voted for PML-N. One thing which affected the change was accident of Imran Khan at Lahore. In villages people were in view that it was a drama and Imran Khan wants to get sympathy votes like PPPP got in 2008 general elections. Punjab did not ignore the call for change and they voted to PTI. There were a tough competition in many constituencies. PTI candidates got many votes and all these votes were due to call for change. Many PTI candidates, who were active in election campaign and lost the election got a good number of votes though could not win the seats.

PTI is supported mainly by the upper class youth, who make only a small percentage of Pakistan's population. PTI supporters expecting a clean sweep ignored the fact that they might have to share their constituency with a nearby slum, because there cannot be a fully 'burger' constituency, almost every posh/burger locality has an adjacent pind/slum to thwart PTI hopes. Keeping these facts in view, the election outcome was almost predictable.

I am also a supporter of PTI.Here in mianwali PTI won, clean sweep here.

Mianwali is Ik's native town and Niazis pathans hain yahan pay. yahan logo ka josh o junoon bhut ziada tha,un-educated ching chi walas n tanga walas nain bhi Ik ko vote diy.so ye nahi kaha ja sakta k PTI ko sirf educated logo nain vote dia. My whole family was with N-league n yahan tribal system hay jahan bazurg keh dain whole tribe nain unhi vote dena hota hay,but first time asa hua k hm youth nain family head se cut k PTI ko na sirf vote dia bulky support kia PTI k liy work kia.Kia ye change nahi? my 3 years old niece said " mughy imran khan acha lgta hay, main nain tv pay dekha k us ka sar toota hua tha" then she said "Imran khan zinda baad, imran khan zinda baad". Tabdeeli aa chuki hay. |

People did not completely ignore his call for change. Imran khan's PTI shows a remarkable performance in the elections and comes out to be the second largest party in the national assembly and could form govt in the provisional assembly of kpk. This is there best chance to show of what they are capable of by making kpk a role model for others province. this will gathers support for them in the other province and will be beneficial for there future.
We the PTI supporters should not bent down or loose hope. Remember this is not the end, this is the beginning of the bright future. InshaALLAH |

I expected around 20 seats for PTI in Punjab...but they could not do so and these are the basic reasons for this....
1) Imran Khan did not have enough time to campaign and reach out to the masses in an effective manner. Intra party elections did not help him either, Candidates were not announced on time..N league and PPP also conspired to shorten the campaign time for the disadvantage of Imran Khan...Older people still had N league and PPP in their minds and they considered N league better as at least they can build roads and spend money on laptops, taxis etc.... 2) N league succeeded in brain washing conservative and relatively illiterate population in Punjab that Imran khan is backed by Jews and Qadiyanis ,his children are being groomed by a non Muslim mother...Furthermore they also created the impression that Imran Khan is an associate of Zardari ....Imran Khan's over criticism of Sharif's,Zardari's lack of criticism of Khan did not help PTI either...Because people were so angry with PPP ,they actually thought that voting for PTI will result in PPP's success...I feel Imran should have kept a balance in his criticism for both parties and should have discussed his own manifesto more.. 3) The anticipations from media, experts that Nawaz will from government also helped N league. because large number of voters in Punjab vote for the party they consider will form government, People think that thus their votes will not be wasted and they will be able to gain trivial benefits if their voted candidates win...I must remind you that majority of people in entire Punjab are not ready to vote for the losing candidate.....N league was always ready to form alliances to form Government and PTI never indicated to form any alliances and the so called survey's also helped N league because people firmly believed that N league will form government......Some of you must have experienced taunts from your family or friends about wasting your vote 4) PTI actually won 4 or 5 more seats in Punjab but because of mismanagement of ECP and rigging from N league's goons , final results were tilted in N league's favour.. 5) Ticket distribution was not error free either...Some more suitable candidates could have been picked.....This process was decent but not excellent....They should have selected workers in urban areas than businessmen and influential people in rural areas...For example PTI selected businessmen in Gujranwala district who were not seen among the public during campaign period... But there are few positives for PTI PTI had no presence in assembles but now it has considerable seats in National Assembly....it is many steps ahead... That it replaced PPP in Punjab as the second largest political force, also got votes thousands of votes in Karachi and Quetta ,and is also in the position to form government in KPK ... Imran can prove himself as a true statesman there as success in KPK against all these challenges will mean much more.. Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.- "George Carlin" I can never understand that how my vote is equal to Abdul Sattar Edhi's vote....and Qadeer Khan's vote is also equal to a prisoner of Adyala jail....? This form of democracy is flawed as far as I am concerned...
