I have loved another
With all my heart, he's closer than a brother
He was gentle and sweet
And with our love we could never be beat
His love for me was surely not fraud
He is truly a man of God

We shared our lives together
And enjoyed many things that I will remember
We told each other secrets
And some things I never would have believed it

I was always showered
With many things, especially flowers
If I tried to repay him with a gift
I could only hope that with God, his heart would lift

I have loved another
With all my heart, he's closer than a brother
And this is why
I never wanted to say goodbye
To someone so special to me
Because we were always meant to be
